Ok, so I bought a nitrous kit and air suspention kit from this guy I know and he sold me a laptop computer with Scantool OBD-II software installed on it.....so I break out the laptop charged up and open the program and plug it into a car to check the codes, but it wont connect with the car ECU.
So I give up on it......6 months later, the computer gets damaged to the point it doesn't work.
So now I have the scantool board (inside a hard case) and the OBD-II cable and PC cable......problem.....the old computer had Windows XP......my new laptop has Vista.....and no serial cable input for the cable coming from the scantool unit.
Question 1.) is there a way to get a cable that goes from 25 pin male to USB?
Question 2.) being that I don't have the software anymore, what do I need to do to get it running again on my new laptop?
