Their website says its for Toyota/Lexus/Mitsubishi cars. I can only assume it only works as an adapter for their D91 PS module. So I would have to say no, its just a small part of the entire OBDII package.

I wound agree with GizmoQ, Never seen one either that uses a 15pin/midi port interface.... BUT!

Just measure the pins and see if they are straight through connections, If not at least that they all or mostly goto through the block. If this is the case, Then you just need to get a 15pin connector and have that connected to the usb/serial port... So should still be usable.

The Snap-On Modis 8 (very high end professional scanner) uses adapters like that for different things... just hte OBD-II one for snap-on had "keys" for it to work with different cars. So I would agree that it is part of a larger set made specifically for a certain unit.

At the top of the first picture, it says "25-pin extension cable", I assume it plugs into this DB25/J1962M adapter.

in my prevoius post ,in first pic the above 25-Pin Extension Cable that is for different part not shown in that pic.
the photo is taken from the user manual by my mobile... so ignore the above 25-Pin Extension Cable..Anyway i just want to know that can i connect this OBDII-AC-16Pin Adapter direct with my PC as an OBD2 interface ??
    --------------
the part which am talking about is here... search in the following page for " OBDII-AC-16Pin "
    http://www.autoland.com.tw/new/EN_VE...scan2_full.php
the website discribe the part as OBD-II Diagnostic Adapter...so does that means its an iterface which connect laptop with car?
