    speaking commands

    hello im a newbie here and was wondering if it was possible
    to make the car indicators and maintenance to speech such as low fuel, door open, check engine,ect..so when the indicator come on have a voice say it
    and maybe even when you start/shut down have a welcome goodbye
    dont know if this has been discussed here tried to look couldn't find it
    was just wondering if its possible

    Pretty sure this would go in the general discussion area, But i have seen such posts about on here with this.

    The main setup of this, of course using a carpc would be to interface with the OBDII or ALDL port along with a few other manual interface links to things like the door light switches and so on.. Then have all of this monitored on the PC with your software simply using either a Text2Speech or pre-recorded wav,mp3 files.

    Something like this can more or less run as a system tray icon app, But not to sure if anything is out there at the moment that does this as a standalone.
