How to replay a command back to a module on the bus

Let's say I'm logging and I narrow down an interesting command that does something useful like lock the doors or lower the antenna or whatever. With filtering I narrow it down to something like so:

    2CD 0A 44 5D 60 00

How do I replay or replicate that to make it happen "on demand"? Do I need to set the receive address (RA) or the CAN Receive Address (CRA) or how is actually done? I'm sure this is child's play once you know how, but since I don't know how... any example would be great.

    Thanks!
    Dave

    Dave,

The following assumes you are using OBDLink, and the protocol is CAN 500 kbps 11-bit:

    1. Change the protocol to "USER1 CAN" (ATSP B). You can't use ATSP 6 because you don't want the PCI byte to be sent automatically.
    2. Set up the baud rate for Protocol B:

    ATPP 2D SV 01
    ATPP 2D ON
    ATZ

    3. Set up the header, in this case ATSH 2CD.
    4. Enter the data bytes to send: 0A 44 5D 60 00.

Thanks! I would have guess ATWS instead of ATZ, as I thought ATZ was a full reset. But the ATPP values persist though an ATZ reset?

ATWS would work, too. ATPP (programmable parameters) value are saved in non-volatile memory.
