Has anyone tried hacking into the data bus of either iDatalink or Fortin?

I am interested in tying into one of these networks to be able to monitor and manipulate the connection between the interface module and the alarm. This should allow you to change settings and such from your PC as well as be able to tell the computer the status of certain things.

You can do some of it via the ODBII port but being able to directly control the alarm and interface modules would be a cool addition.

Both interfaces seem to be "industry standard" and are based on rs232 protocol so they should be relatively simple to interface into. They are supposedly parallel type connections from what I have read.

But has anyone actually tried tying into these or have information about them?

Thanks!
