    recommend obd 2 reader/software

i'm looking for a obd 2 reader. it seems like all perform the same function, the only difference is the interface software. i'm looking for the best reader/software combo. i found this:

    http://www.obd-onboarddiagnostics.co...t=2,14,19,50,0
    but it's expensive

    http://www.digimoto.com/
    this is reasonable

this kid's closed for spring break

    http://www.obddiagnostics.com/
this kid's out of stock for who knows how long

    http://www.scantool.net/
i've heard this software isn't that great, but you can develop your own (which i can't since i don't have a clue how to program)

    http://www.autotap.com/autotap_windows_products.html
    this one's expensive too

i'm looking for people who actually have tested some of this stuff. how does it work in practical apps, how does the interface work for you, how easy does it work? i want actual opinions, price doesn't matter, i want it to look somewhat professional though. it's going in my carputer, not a commercial app. i don't want "i was planning on getting this when my mom cracks open my piggy bank" kind of stuff, i want real world kind of answers. thanks a lot guys.

i read that thread before i posted this, it's useless to me. there was only like 2 posts that were useful and on topic, and they were still general. there's like 30 threads and nobody can stay on topic. i'm not looking for a reader, i've found them already. i just want people's opinions based upon their use, not whether they brought their car to the shop and what they paid for them.

there were some intresting options for the carputer but nothing really other than monitoring and possibly trouble shooting

but all in all im very happy with the product

i wish the software had some sort of direct port into Excel or something liek that but im sure i can figure something out.
