It probably has OBD1. Look under the hood for a DIAGNOSTIC block. Probably on the left side of the driver (or right if you look at the engine). GRAY in color.
To check for error code, short TE1 and E1 terminal, turn the key to ON and check for the flash sequence of the CHECK ENGINE light. Blink .. Blink ... Blink .. pause .. Blink mean code 31.
To hook up to a PC and check for error code like OBD2, I don't think you can do it yet and probably won't.
The 87-88 Supra and Cressida are the only Toyota Cars (I know of pre ODB2) that come with a "Super Computer" which can read error code in numerical value instead of blinking check engine light.
