    Turbo readouts from OBD?

Is it possible to get OBD-II Readouts of turbo information, if the turbo was standard on that particular car? When i say readouts im thinking Turbine RPM, Boost Pressure, Intake Temp, Intake Amount and Power graphs?

This would save me buying a turbo timer for a start because i would be able to see when the speed had dropped enough to safely stop the engine. Anyone know?

No car monitors turbine rpm. You'd have to have something connected to the shaft of the turbine housing to monitor this. Also a turbo time has absolutely nothing to do with the turbine still spinning. You use a turbo timer so the car can sit at idle for a while to allow the oil in the turbo to cool down. If you constantly are turning the car off after you beat on it with hot oil circulating in the turbo you can cook the bearings inside which will destroy the turbo. And a turbo will never stop spinning until you turn the car off anyways. They are driven by exhaust gas so unless the exhaust gas stops they will spin.

As far as those readouts obd II can tell you intake temp normally, and if from the O2 reading you can figure out your intake amount in a way. By reading the output voltage from the O2 you can if you are getting enough air/fuel mixture or if it is running lean. I'm a turbo nut (all my cars have had one) so if you ever have any questions about them feel free to ask

Thanks, i always thought the reason you had to leta turbo idle was to let it slow down while still lubricated...learn something new everyday

Thanks for the info, great help
