I'm running a Daihatsu Charade GTti Turbo engine (1994) in a Daihatsu Charade G11 (1984) .
Thinking to DIY the 0BD2 hardware from scantool.net . My question is , can i use it for my car ? the diagnosis connector is diffrent too and located in the engine bay .

That's not OBDII. Only after 1996 they started OBDII, and mostly in american cars. I don't know what that's that plug, but it looks very different from what I've seen so far...
that is the diagnosis connector at my car . weird looking and at the wrong place ? Double check at the manual and that is the car diagnosis connector .
My car is imported from Japan . so that mean's i can't use OBDI or OBDII ? Hmmm . too bad .
Go to your local Daihatsu service and ask them about it. If the car is scanable, they should know about it...
ive got a g11 and i want a gtti engine and box in mine.
someone said it wont fit,
tell me what i need to do to smack it in my charade g11 1983.
are the engine mounts different?
what about the driveshafts.
and all the wiring- can it be DIY?

well ... GTti can fit perfectly in G11 chasis but need new mountings . driveshaft are custom made or was cut from the original GTti and welded back together with the proper length . i'm not to sure about the wiring ..Quote:

back to the original topic , i alredy tried asking but they have no idea about the engine i'm using .... well , figures since they didn't have any sparepart for the engine i'm using . have to imported it either from japan or australia .
anyone can help on this ? make the obd2 pinout DIY to the ECU or somthing ?

Thats is not odbII!
It is the diagnosis connector, and if you short the upper left with the down pin, you can see if there is a problem with your car, consideribng how many times the engine light in your dashboard will flash!

i have a gtti, and i think we do not have odbII connector.
Maybe there is something where your ECU is!
Yes engine swap between g11 and GTti is very common, because g11 is lighter than gtti, but you have to make up your brakes and suspension, to feel safe! (You can also fit GTti engine into Cuore too! ;-))
