I have a 2001 Toyota Celica SX (Australia). I bought the ISO scantool from scantool.net, but it seems that the Australian Celica is not OBD-2 compliant.

Even though the scantool.net website claimed that the Celica GTS (which is the same car as the SX) was OBD-2 compliant. It seems that i'm missing Pin 5 (ground), as the OBD-2 port has pins 4, 6, 7, 9, 13, 14, & 16.

Does anyone have any experience with using OBD on the Australian Celica? It would seem strange for it to not be OBD-2 compliant.

I've heard that some cars from Europe don't have pin 5 either, and that sometimes using pin 4 in place of 5 works. I'm guessing that the Australian celica would be similiar to the British and Japanese versions (right hand drive)?

Also, the Australian Corolla (2003) seems to work with OBD-2, the only difference in pin configuration between the Celica is that it has pin 5. Maye my pin 5 broke off?

Any advice is appreciated.
