Hi,
Vauxall/Opel decided in all their wisdom not to give the owner the privilage to switch off the passenger airbag on demand for kids on the front seat. But I think it can be done via the boardcomputer. Does some know or is able to check it? (it is a 2004 MAXversion)
2nd What would I need as software to do that? I prefer a PocketPC version
Thanks for any answers
Hans

OBD is a diagnostic information tool, not something one uses to change the car settings. Odds are you will not be able to do that with OBD.
Visit your car dealer and ask them how to disable the passenger airbag, or if they can install a switch to do the same.
I know this is an old thread, but anyway. According to my manual (2002 Zafira) if you use a special type of child seat in the front which has a transponder fitted, the passenger airbag is automatically disabled. Other than that, you can't turn it off.
