yeah thats a big pricetag though
Hey guys,
I just read this over on my favorite Automotive Site (autoblog) and thought it was really cool and maybe something to look into for Car PC applications.
Basically its a plug in OBD-II port reader with bluetooth enabled technology so it can communicate wirelessly with any bluetooth enabled device...such as a PC. Below is the link and if Digimoto is reading this...how bout hookin' us up State Side with an application like this?

Yeah, I know its expensive for right now but I think that is a straight $ conversion but most will note that market prices differ so it very well could be less if it were brought stateside. Not to say that it would be as much as a Digimoto...but maybe in between the digi and the UK price. Unless our good friends at Digimoto decide to adopt such a solution for the Diagnostic/Car PC crowd![]()

Most well written, Bluetooth aware, software will offer either an RfComm or serial port interface to a serial port based Bluetooth device, such as the OBDKey.

even if it were just slightly more expensive than a serial setup we'd still have to deal with flaky bluetooth drivers and implementation. Better drivers are needed before bluetooth is considered anyone near stable
TARHEELVOLVO: read your signature and you state you have an evolve body kit. any pictures. i own a black s40 as well and want to install that evolve kit. thanks.
From www.obdkey.com is the tiny OBDKey vehicle interface unit. Supports both Bluetooth, USB and also a stand alone variant to log data to an MMC or SD card.
