Each T16 interface comes from the factory with a preset destination address. Each time you need to communicate with the T16, you have to first send the destination address. If the destination address doesn't match, the T16 ignores your communication and does not respond. So it's important to know your destination address. If you do not know it, PCMSCAN provides a T16 detection feature for you.

The reason that the preferences dialog provides boxes for entering the destination address in both hex and decimal is because some people only know the hex number or the decimal number of the destination address.

Feel free to download our demo version and play around with it. Let me know if you have any troubles getting connected and I'll help you out.

one other thing.... does the multiplex interface need to be connected with a null modem? or can it be connected directly with a serial cable?

I think it depends on which T16 model you own. Do you know what your T16 model is?

    I believe the T16-003 requires a null-modem cable.

ok, it works great, at least the rpm feature (i don't have the full soft. yet)
    but it looks great...
isn't there a way just to show 2 or 3 gauges, i mean, isn't there a "light" version of this software? i just want to show 3 gauges on my car pc, it will be running the frodoplayer as a shell, that why i only want to show 3 gauges on full screen... some advice?

I'm glad you like it! Unfortunately, the version you are using is our "lite" version, and it only lets you read the RPM. To get access to the full functionality you'll need to buy a software license.
