Or maybe a plugin for Centrafuse?
http://www.centrafuse.com/downloads.aspx
There is an SDK available on the developers section.
Check MP3Car forum too. There are some simple plugins made. If you are unsure how to start.http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/centrafuse/
Thanks for the links...
By the way new version from CarMM is uploaded. Bigger resolutions than 640x480 are now supported![]()
Hi,
Does it support unicode filenames and ID3 tags?
Because I have a lot of songs/movies not in English. Lots of Japanese, Chinese and Korean music...
Thanks.
Hi,
i' afraid at the moment is only english & greek supported.... I will prepare a version in unicode very soon...
Yea please try and support Unicode.
As far as I can see CarMM is one of the best carputer front-end, especially now that it supports more resolutions. It'd be a shame to lose a large non-English/Greek userbase.
Another thing, can it be used to launch external Apps? Would be nice if you can launch, for example, Vauxhall/Opel TIS from within CarMM, won't it?
By the way, Zafira GSI's are cool!
Thanks.
Your wish will be fullfilled![]()

Ok here you are.... http://www.carobd.com/files/carmmuni.exe
Test the mp3 part and tell me the results
Hi,
That's quick!!
Okay I've finished testing.
But first of all there is one problem which will likely affect a lot of people. I was testing CarMM on my desktop, because my carputer is far from finished. I found that that CarMM doesn't really like wide-screens. My desktop monitors run resolution of 1680x1050. The CarMM screen will stretch to the full width of the screen while maintaining 4:3 aspect ratio, so the bottom bit of the screen is chopped offI cannot see the buttons at the bottom.
Anyway I changed my resolution to 1280x1024 and gave Unicode a go.
The answer is... no, it doesn't display Unicode filenames correctlyAs you can see in the screenshots, the Unicode (Chinese in this case) filenames are showing as "????".
(Obviously I can't play these files either)
Prehaps Comic Sans MS doesn't support Unicode? I personally found fonts like Arial, Tahoma, Verdana etc to be more professional-looking. So may be making fonts configurable would be a good idea?
Oh on the other hand, Centafuse supports Unicode perfectly. It might give you some ideas?
Many thanks.
