Just take a look at the default skin:
the skin is devided into a background bitmap -thats also responsible for the size of the obd-diag window- and many small bitmaps for the buttons and images.
In the default(english).ini you can see the syntax for the skin.
try to do small changes first and than built your own skin by doing everything similar as in the defalut skin.
In the file english(metric).sec or in the settingsmenu "mode 1 pid s" you can find a list of all possible signals that can be shown in the skin.
syntax is
Gauge<n>Function=sensor_<signal>
e.g.:
Gauge2Function=sensor_speed

will it work with my audi a3, i have a cable for that, that works with vagcom?
Stern Tech has open source software for an OBDII scanner. The software is for a hand held OBDII scanner which can also be connected to a PC. I would love it if someone would add the code such that it can support some of the PC software.
All the software is written in C thus it can be ported to PC fairly easy. The reason I did a hand held with PC connection over just a PC unit is that some times you do not want to drag around a PC just to check codes on a car. Thus having a handheld unit that does both seemed like the right answer.
The hardware can be purchased for $159 and the software is all available on Google's code site, which is linked from www.sterntech.com
If you have any questions feel free to email me.

hi, whanted to now, if that softwear will work, whit my opel corsa?
Hi, I also have a cable compatible with VAG-COM and I was wondering if there's a program that works with it?
I'd like a simple program that can display only the stuff I "need", like RPM, speed, fuel consumption and maybe some temperatures for starters. I could probably make one myself if I knew how to get the info from the car. I just need to tell the car to send me the RPM for instance, but unfortunately, I don't speak horsepower, so it's not quite that simple.
