Transmission Temp

I am using the Elm hardware with Digimoto software (also tried Scantool and PCMSCAN).
The one reading I really want is transmission temp, however none of these sofware packages show that readout. Is this available on OBDII for a 2001 Silverado? (apparantly it is using Datamaster and OBD I).
What software will show me the readout?

Anything after 1995 is OBDII. Is the vehicle manual or auto? Most vehicles don't have a transmission temp sensor and if they do they are typically automatics. Your best bet is to tap the line going to the tranny fluid cooler (if there is one) and install a gauge.
