Ok, so i know how to program against the ODB II port in my Lincoln LS. I am going to use two Lilliput touchscreens running off a Compaq Evo Tablet pc hidden in the dash, as my intrument panel, surrounded by a custom fiberglass dash, which is essentially a full computer (2usb, pcmcia, network, modem, 1gb ram, 80gig, wireless, etc).
The new LCD intrument cluster system has two modes-
In the daytime:
dual vga screen speedometer display. MPH, RPM, Warning messages, etc..
In the nighttime: single screen speedometer, single screen Night Vision camera.
There is also an Epia sp13000 that will drive the 8" Lilliput Touchscreen in the center dash, and 2 7" touchscreens in the back center console, all custom interior work.
The million dollar question
I removed my intrument cluster to test the system, and the car won't start without it.
No problem. I have the Ford Master Technician CD.
I can read the schematics and wiring to the intrument panel, and where all the data for it is coming from (REM, FEM, PCM,) etc. From all the information i gathered, it seems i can do a lot with the information coming from those cables. However, i dont know which wire needs to be grounded in order for the ignition to become active, so i can start the car. I need to move the instrument panel out of the way.
Has anyone ever experienced this ?
Anyone programs c# here?
Thanks for your help.
