Thread: ElmScan 5 & mOByDic

I read somewhere else in the OBDII forum that the ElmScan doesnt support CAN but in the MP3CAR store it says in the tech specs that it does "ISO15765-4 (CAN), ISO14230-4 (KWP2000), ISO9141-2, J1850 VPW, J1850 PWM" whats the deal?

Im in australia and want to use it on a FORD BA Falcon and I know they use the CAN system. Im not sure whether the ElmScan Unit sold here is a new one which might now support CAN? Can someone help me with this maybe someone from Digimoto might know? Any users in Australia Know what the deal is. Maybe let me know what setup they use and software.. I know there was an article about this but it was a while ago and I was thinking that maybe this is a new ELM unit. I've googled and googled around but keep getting the MP3Car website.
