Hi,
Which one is better? I understand that both are truely universal tools supporting all standards. What is the difference between these two if I ignore the price factor and USB/Serial point?
Also is ElmScan 5 same as ProScan Universal Scan Tool ?
Thanks

AG

Thanks for the reply.
Is there any way to change the parameters instead of just reading them? Like what if I want to change RPM or Injectors settings? Anything for this?
AG
Well, this tool just reads software. Im sure there is software that will allow you to change parameters but you would have to find software that is specific to your car and engine. Which could be hard to find..

Our ProScan-bundled kits come with a customized version of the ElmScan 5 hardware. The functionality of the hardware is the same. After you take advantage of the $5.00 mp3car discount at www.MyScanTool.com, there is very little difference in price between the ElmScan 5 hardware alone and our ElmScan 5 hardware bundled with our popular ProScan software. But if you decide to buy the ProScan software later, it will cost $59.99 + s/h.

David i got your emails from your service staff.. I understand your position as a family run business. So far the software is very useful and i love the fact that my cars obdII refresh rate can be used as low as 32ms. I had a small issue but i was able to figure it out. I appreciate the offer.
