Best OBD2 reader for JDM cars, please help!!

Hi

I am new to this forum and am also newbie on the subject of OBD2.

I am keen to purchase an OBD2 reader but confused on which brand to go for..

I own a Toyota Allion which is a JDM model (Scion) and would appreciate if someone could recommend a reader which would integrate well with JDM cars.

I have a scion tc and use the elmscan 5 with no problems at all. I only use it to monitor the sensor data and not write info (if thats even possible) but it will work great as a monitoring device
