Can you please determine the protocol used in my car. I read somewhere that pin 4&5 are must. But I don't have pin5. Also there are total 7 pins. Car is Hyundai.

It seams you have ISO 9141 on your vehicle for OBDII
Starting from PIN 1 from Left to Right, Top to Bottom. The top left most pin is Pin 1 and the pin directly below it is PIN 9.
