New OBDII scantool - Beta testers?

Paul,
I have the 2003 Toyota Camry LE, 2002 Toyota Sienna, and 2001 Subaru Forester. Is your OBDPRO will work with all my vehicle? There is OBD wireless version out there. Would it work if add a bluetooth wireless adaptor to your OBDPRO? Is there a list of beta test result available online with your scanner?

I am quite sure that the scantool will work,
but it would be nice if you could confirm.

and please,
I have bought a KWP2000 reader/writer off Ebay,
and that damn thing can't do S***
until now, I have only one program that can use the thing (it is a USB edition)
and that program is KWP2000.
I was hoping that the KWP2000 could read out engine data (OBD informations)
but haven't found any programs that supports the damn thing yet, with those possibilities.

you write that the scantool supports
ISO, KWP2000, and a bunch of more protocols.

does this mean that I would be able to throw away the KWP2000 reader, and use your tool instead, and be able to do the exact same stuff, such as program the ECU..?

Hi Mcnovy,

The OBPro does support KWP2000 but it would only be able to show the OBD II data, it will not be able to program the ECU though.

As far as support for the Citroen C3, If you can identify the what pins you have on the OBD II connector in your vehicle based on this link

I've done a quick search, but couldn't find an answer. I thought I read something a while ago where someeone was saying that you can't use a serial to usb converter with the scantools? Ie. Using a serial scantool with a converter into a usb port. Am I making this up or is it possible?

I bough the serial tool a few months back, my system has changed lisghtly and the abaility to use usb would make things MUCH easier.

You should be able to use your USB to serial adapter. I believe it is preferred that you buy the USB version if you need to plug it into a USB port, but there is no reason why you cannot use a USB to serial converter with your existing serial device.

Your web site says that you can monitor the network traffic, send messages to vehicle modules and read your vehicles "brain". I'm new to this but I thought most of that would be software driven.

What I'm interested in is the ability to read some non standard PID's specific to the 08 Fords. Can you tell me what software will permit me to use your tool to it's fullest?

Hi Dan,

Unfortunately reading non standard pid's is not supported by most of the software sites available for the OBDPro interface. If you know the non standard pid's I would love to work with you to add those to a software package.

I know autotap and autoengenuity have support for non standard ford pid's but the pid's supported vary and there is no guarantee that you would get what you need as far as non standard pid's are concerned.
