OBD II software for bmw

Is there any obd II software for bmw? I prefer a diagnostic system but if anyone know just tell me any program and where i can find it.

Does this require an interface or just a simple obd II cable?

They supply the tool and the software. It's not cheap though.

I do have the software. Can i make the tool or use a simple obd II cable that i can i find?

If you are using the Carsoft software, you need to Carsoft interface also.

Remember that you can use a generic scantool with your BMW if it is petrol and has the DLC socket. If you wish to access proprietory codes you need either the Carsoft or Peake Research product.
