Question OBD not respond on VW GOLF4 1.6!

So, i've tried googling to resolve this problem but I didn't found any answer.
Recently i've bought a VW Golf4 1.6 petrol engine 1999, when I connect the car via ELM327 based scanner I got the error message below, I tried many softwares but still the same problem.
I tried the same ELM327 scanner on VW GOLF3&4 TDi and VW Touran and it work correctly

    Any suggestion about that guys.
    I own this scanner http://www.skpang.co.uk/catalog/prod...c540e78702b238

    Thanks.

not sure how u are connecting the scanner to your computer but i had a similar problem with mine too, i found that if you connect the scanner to a computer with a proper RS232 port it works like it should, when i first tired it i had one of those silly belkin boxes that converted from rs232 to usb.

What software are you using in that screenshot? It looks like our PCMSCAN software. If so, contact me, I may be able to help you figure out why it is failing.

Don't forget to check out our new PCMSCAN v2.0! It comes loaded with new features like a dyno, drag strip, DashXL™ system, Javascripting, and more! Also, don't forget to check out our dashboard design contest. You could win up to $200!

I use the RS232 ELM327 scanner version connected with proper RS232 no HUb no converter, and it works in the other cars exept that GOLF4 1.6 I tried it in 4 differents cars but all of them are diesel engine TDI, it is a difference between petrol and diesel protocol???

I use the PCMSCAN 1.4.3 is the perfect software for me But i think the problem is not coming from the software, I tried other open source softwares like scantool.net... but still the same problem.

Hope someone can help me to resolve this problem.
