    Question OBD2 All In One

    for christmas i got the OBD2 All In One, and with it i received this little red connector with 4 pins, no cable for it, what is this for, am i supposed to make my own cable, or what.

    you should receive a the ODBII cable to go from your car to the scan tool device and a serial or usb cable to go from the device to your PC.

    if you got neither, you got pwn3d.

    The OBD2 All In One interface requires an OBDII cable and a Serial cable. Perhaps you received this in the package and someone accidentally ordered you the extra red connector?

    If all you got was an interface and that red head, you will need to either make an OBDII cable or purchase one. You will also need a serial cable or a USB cable depending on what type of interface you purchased. Without seeing a picture of everything you got that is the best I can do.

    I noticed you put a 1988 Mercury Grand Marquis as your vehicle on the forums. That vehicle is not OBDII compliant. Not sure if you knew that or not, but an OBDII device will not function on that vehicle.

    Yea or get MoBilScan have a look at www.mobilscan.dk

    then you dont need the cable

    10 Euro's for a female connector with 6 pins plus Shipping, Yeah that is Really Cheap, Maybe in Portugal or Brazil! But not Here.

    Maybe the other stuff in the catalog but Not the connectors.
