New guy looking for some advice

Hi everyone. I stumbled upon this site while I was on a hunt for a new OBD-II scanner and was considering using my laptop. Without getting into too much detail I currently own 2 vehicles: 2002 GMC Sierra 1500 HD and, my new baby, a 2008 Toyota Tundra CrewMax Limited with the 5.7L V8.

I'm looking for a decent interface and software bundle that will work on these trucks. I already have some ideas after browsing this site and others, but I was hoping I could maybe get a little feedback.

One option is to get the OBD PRO Interface and go with Digimoto's Software.

The other option would be to just simply go with Digimoto's Complete Package.

Another one I was looking at was PCMSCAN'S Bundle

Those are what I've been considering so far. Any feedback would be much appreciated. If any of you have any other ideas, I'm all ears as well.

Whatever you decide, stay away from Proscan / Gore Research,

They are good at taking your money and do not answer any Trouble tickets or email, so in short, NO SUPPORT< but lots of excuses.

Ya I was reading up on that and decided that I wouldn't be taking any chances on Proscan/Gore Research products considering the difficulty many people have experienced with them in the past.

Here's a post I made a couple weeks ago, someone had asked a similar question. Hopefully this gives anyone looking for a solution a little more info on what is out there and what their options are:

I quite like Digitmoto. I've given 4.03 a run on my ELM327 based unit.

I strongly suggest any licensed users of our 4.03 software upgrade to 5.0. There are many enhancements and new features ~ it is a completely re-write and is a free upgrade to existing customers.
