and identify if you have the OBD II connector and what pin's are populated or post a picture of the connector in your vehicle and then someone here can guide you...

Hi,

No, the TD5 is not OBD2/EOBD compatible - you need a specialist tool for this particular vehicle.

Does anybody know any technical details on the protocol that the Td5 / Bosch (?) system uses - I assume there is different hardware required for the interface than tat supported by the ELM systems.

Any info would be appreciated as I think it would be great to try and get something working that was cheaper than the rovacom systems

The whole system is very different. We made the decision to supply Rovacom having tested in extensively - it is the best tool for the job, and compared with the other tools for this range very good value.

Remember that you do only have to buy the software modules you need, and can add to them over time if required.
