Well after many delays, it is finally ready for download!

FIRST and foremost, MANY thanks to the bets testers, they did a FANTASTIC job catching most of the bugs and problems, so we could fix them:
Carputer1, DaveDog, kbreeden, Doug133, Gizmo, & Jebus

NOTE: ElCamono has asked that his plugins not be used in the DFX5 skin. I have removed the plugins from the skin. You will need to download & install the plugins and get them working yourself if you intend on using them. I must also further note though, that he has told anyone that is using the DFX5 skin, that they are not aloud to use his plugins in any way. So if you do, do so at your own risk.
Thanks for your understanding.

NOTE: The skin is 100% free, however there is an option to donate $9.95 in the app store. As a thank you for your donations, you can download a patch that will remove the generic splash screen when the skin starts up, and replace it with one that more matches the look and feel of the skin. You will also be able to replace the splash screen with any graphic of your choosing.

The skin has incorporated Jebus's RRVoice plugin, allowing you to speak just about anything you see on any button throughout the skin. You will also be able to play your music with commands such as:
"Play Artist Journey"
"Play Album Greatest Hits"
"Play Song Separate Ways"
"Next Track"
"Previous Track"
"Skip Forward" (30 second jump)

The list of features in the skin is extensive, and I will edit this post and add them in the next day or so.

What the skin lacks:
- NO iLISTS
- NO TRANSPARENCY (didn't like how it came out)
- NO FLASH
- Radio screen not done
- osk.skin doesn't have labels
What it has:
- Button descriptions are all labels, so this skin can be adjusted to any other language. All the variables for this are found in the skin.ini, no need to modify the skin files
- MediaBase application: my own database software. But it should be possible to modify my skin to use BlueZX3's database software. I'm not going to do that, though ;). Features in 4th post

Please note that I created the skin for ME to suit my needs. I'm open for suggestions, but I'm definately not going to support the skin as other skinners do, sorry. If I like an idea I'll see what I can do.

In the skin folder a file called "skin_deutsch.ini" is included. Rename it to skin.ini to get german labels in iDrive3.

UPDATE
- Complete rewrite of MediaBase. It's alot faster now. Also you got an indicator in the top right when MediaBase is busy.
- switched from JPG to PNG. Pictures look alot better now
- added a second page for the main screen
- options menu: changed options for SygicDrive and MediaBase on the fly
- few other fixes I can't remember right now

If your useing Pre-RideRunner, you must edit the menu.skin , remove / in front of INC,Plugins.txt
I have left the old path cmd's to read AI scripts from RR root plugins folder

1 = Extract .rar
2 = Add Mediastyle folder to RR Root\Skins
3 = Open Help folder within Mediastyle, and add all fonts INC, Mediafont to your windows font folder
4 = if you wish to use the search,rate and Tag function,again open help folder\Search, and install according to notes.
5 = Remeber this skin has been set up for any released plugins DLL or AI , to be put into the RR Root plugins folder.
6 = Now your ready to start the skin up, go to settings\general screens and set your options,

Installer

1 = if you wish to use the search and rate function , and did not select it in the installer, open Help folder in skin
folder, help\Search,and install according to notes
2 = The installer will register the AWRR.dll but it will not regiester the RRextend.dll , this is on purpose, but the latest version is included in the skin file in plugins folder, also the gen_activewa.dll in the help folder is installed to wianamp's default plugins folder C:\Program Files\Winamp\Plugins, if this is not your winamp dir. then you will have to install this dll yourself.
3 = Now your ready to start the skin up, go to settings\general screens and set your options,
GPS type, Radio, Gas are tap or Pess and hold to swap the functions over.

Editing the skin via Skin Editor

This is important, due to the new way i have done my Labels, skin Editor will not show the settings correctly
you will notice that the settings have moved up 2 spaces,do not be alarmed , you can still edit the skin in this app, just don't move the settings from where they are edit the the settings as you see them, when you save your skin file, you will notice 2 ,, after the label cmd, this is normal and will not stop the label from working, Thank you

CFX TX (Transparency Revolution)

I'm been working on this for a while as I'm try to learn some trick with Photoshop. Remember, I'm not a graphic guys.
1st, the skin is base on the last release of the original author, Proximo. Well, there isn't that much in that psd set anyway.
2nd, All icons use are either from searching or included with FSR by moahdib and/or Freedom by CDR.
3rd, Some of the background you see in the skin are come from DFX2 skin, but I'm not going to include that with the release (if it ever come).
4th, Some of iG scripts are credit to JWPB as it from Original DFX skin and modify (not much) by me to work with this skin. Also add some to script to it.
5th, Thanks to all you guys who share ideas and work to the forum. Especially MGD for the trick on the menu overlay for background picker. ;).
Couple screen shots let see how it goes. There is NO ETA as I'm working when ever I have time. Also, I only finish those screen that I think most usefull to me, the rest, I leave it to you guys to complete.

OMEGA/Transparent

My new skin is allmost finished, but I can not decide about the transparency level. I would like some input from you guys, I sure can't make up my little mind. Here are some shots with the top and bottom bar solid and transparency of 50%. I will (maybe) include color schemes for the foreground, when you have a light background then you can change the font colors.
Which one is better?

Audi Skin

I'll be honest, not many of the Audi skins I've seen have done it for me, I was looking for something clean, and very OEM to the dash style that is present. So instead of complaining, I'm making my own.

This is bare bones still, more buttons will be added, but it's a start and gives an idea for a feel. If anyone is interested and would like to help let me know.

There is an exe included in this install, which allows you to configure the GPS option and to select what options you have
installed. This allows the removing of such things as Phone Control, Mobile Emulator, Weather, CDRip etc from the menus
if you don't have them installed.

Also for this to work you may need to register the file PICCLP32.OCX.

You can either run the register.bat file or from the command prompt type regsvr32 PICCLP32.OCX

Ok folks! The DigitalFX 2.0 Skin is FINALLY complete! It is the very first fully transparent skin for Road Runner to take advantage of the new GDI support that Guino put into Road Runner.

Here is a demo of a few features in the skin: (Sorry, the audio gets further and further out of sync as the video plays.)

You can use a solid color, wallpaper, family photo, picture of your car, whatever you want to define the look and color of the skin. When you are selecting a color / image in the skin, a preview shows, just click the change button. You do not need to restart RR to see the changes take effect.

2.5 Additions & Fixes 09/08/2007

Updated Reverse Camera Skin to use a new Plugin that is faster and more full featured. Supports Mirrored image, Flipped image as well as recording capability. (MANY thanks to inh for creating this plugin!)
When using iGuidance, DigitalFX will remember the last GPS screen orientation used when returning to the screen, or when restarting Road Runner.
Updated the Traffic Cam Viewer to the latest version with a new International database. (Many Thanks to Enforcer for a great plugin!) (You will have to download and install the Plugin, as Enforcer has asked that I not include his plugin with the skin)
Fixed the Mixer screen to display properly with the .png graphics
Added indicators to the Mixer screen to remember and show what EQ setting is currently in use
Added a "Thumb-wheel" browsing method for the Browser and Playlists. Spin your finger in a circle on the album cover in the bottom right to see what I mean... your gonna love this one!
Stomped out a bug! The status of the Auto Pausing of the music when iGuidance indicator was not being maintained when Road Runner was reloaded.
Added a Calendar using Rainlender. Download and install Rainlender HERE to use the calendar.
Added a few more backgrounds to choose from to change the look of the skin.
Rearranged the buttons on the Audio Player & Playlist screens, to keep the buttons in the bottom row in the same place as on other screens. This just cant be done on the Browser skin, deu to the space needed for the directory listing, and only having room for 2 columns of buttons on the right side of the screen.
The DigitalFX Skin will no longer remove the weather and XM icons when it is uninstalled. If you prefer the older icons, check in the weather/xm folders and copy the files from the "Original" subfolders to the root folder where they were automatically backed up when the DigitalFX skin was installed.
Added the XM Favorites PNG's in the "Helper Files" folder in the DigitalFX skin folder, so they can easily be customized.
Added a Vehicle Maintenance Skin. Just tap on the text area, and the OSK/NumOSK will open to enter the value. The next mileage is calculated automatically, and information is saved to the skin.ini
Added an Advanced Wireless Network manager. It is completely touch screen friendly! (MANY thanks to EL CAMINO for his work on this script!)
Updated some Icons throughout the skin with some nicer looking icons.
Created a new "Search" skin, when the "Library Search" button is pressed on the browser screen. This skin gives you options for the type of search that you would like to do.
Added new Buttons to the iGuidance skin to: Save your current Location & to bring up the Trip Meter. ("Menu" & "Repeat command" buttons were replaced with these, as both functions can be called by tapping on locations on the iGuidance Map Window already)
Added GPS Gas, and Mileage buttons to the "Programs Skin". (Mileage will be working in the next release)
Outdated weather maps should now be a thing of the past (If you have an Internet connection). I have completely re-worked the scripts and .swf conversion process. When you go to the weather screen, you will see an indicator scrolling above the Temp, Sat & Radar buttons telling you that the maps are loading in the background. When this text disappears, the maps are then ready to view.
When you search for a song using the library search, you can highlight a song in the list of results, and click the "Play Album" button, to play all of the songs, in the original album order.
Added the Mileage Plugin (This may still be a bit buggy, as I am waiting on Festy to answer a couple of issues I am having with it)
Added a new "Interactive" weather map to the weather screens. You can drag the map with your finger, and double tap to zoom in. You can overlay radar & satellite images on top of either a map, or a satellite image. (From what I can see, the data so far only covers the United States) You can also adjust the transparency of the overlaid weather information. To zoom out as well as the other features, you will need to use the pretty small buttons to do so. The file is from weather.com, and can not be resized.

iGuidance theme.ini to make iGuidance resemble Google Maps. This is well commented, and is a good start to creating your own color combinations for roads, parks, street colors and width ect. Simply put the file in your iGuidance directory for it to work.

Re-did the Mixer screen to make the current level indicator that is selected "glow" as well as adding buttons/indicators to mute certain Line In's and Winamp's Pre-Amp.
Created a new options screen to control Auto Volume based on your GPS current speed. (Located on the Settings menu (Replaced "Network Settings" button)
Set up the skin to use a new AVS plugin that displays a bar graph EQ over the top of the current Album Cover Art on the "Player" skin. This will take some configuration on your part, see the help file for instructions.
I inadvertently removed the "Online" indicator from the menu screens in the last version, it is now back in place.

My First and Foremost goal, was to make this skin VERY easy to navigate, with all buttons large enough to easily press. Many skins look stunning, and include a lot of options/functionality, but can often be hard to use on a 7" touchscreen (ESPECIALLY while driving.... but who uses the car computer when driving anyways? ;) ) I know this will limit how much I can fit on one screen, and I will have to work with that.

Another goal, is to have it VERY easy to understand, so anyone can use it, and not have to explain what the little button with the strange symbol on the audio browser does for example. With my last skin, I found I was the only person who could use it easily without giving a lesson in it's use first!

custom buttons are available on top and bottom buttons on main menu and secondary menus, audio player. Audio playback buttons on main menu and audio player are not custom. BBAA and PLAYLIST buttons in audio player are also not custom.
As time goes on ill likely add more custom buttons in other areas of the skin as well as additional commands.
Also the clicking the TIME is also a custom button, by default set up for quickmenu, IG3 users may want to change it to IGMENU.
Freedrive and mapmonkey support are also enabled by chooseing one from the command screen>more.
FREEX commands are empty commands that do nothing, just placeholders for new commands to be added.

In this release is a skin config.exe, which will change the GPS info source depending on whether you are using FreeDrive, MapMonkey, or RoadRunner and remove them if you are using a GPS that does not support supplying the info to external programs. This also allows to to select which options you have installed (ie TV, Radio, Games etc) and remove them from the menu's if you don't have them.

For this to work you may need to register the file PICCLP32.OCX.

You can either run the register.bat file or from the command prompt type regsvr32 PICCLP32.OCX

just updateing this thread incase anyone is having problems with this skin and the latest version of RR.

If you do not have the playfile.exe file (see first post) in your root C:\ drive, RR will fail to recognize mouse input after it tries to run the said file and fails to find it.
The file is used for click sound support, and previous didnt need to be present for things to work. But now is required. Next release will not have this issue

Ok, here is LS3.0 beta3

a quick run down on setup and changes:

Its assumed that you have RR installed in the default path of C:\Program Files\Road Runner

pretty much all menus (minus options menu) are where i want them to be.
did some clean up in the audio player, no invisible buttons
reorder the main menu a little
added support for motherboard monitor, accessed from the options menu
Options menu will likely have some changes done to it in the future, with the added support for MBM, and also a version button, it's getting crowded
finished the games menu, this menu is setup to be used with a N64 emulator but you can change it to load whatever game you want. Project 64 can be found here http://www.pj64.net/ and if you do a search on this forum you'll find links to roms. Also configure Project 64 options>configure graphics plugin...>Windowed Resolution 512x384 or lower
Install to the default dir and it should work, if not you'll have to edit in RRSkin editor to the correct path.
The text on the buttons in the game screen are RR labels so you can edit it without changing the graphics.
The pics button in the options screen is pointed to Zorros PicViewer.net which can be found on his PhoCo download page. Install PicViewer to C:\Program Files\Road Runner\PicViewer.NET
GPS setup, if you havent gotten it working yet or this is your first install.
GPS points to skinbedder, and you will need to have it installed in this path C:\Program Files\Road Runner\SKINbedder_v2.99999
WEB BROWSER embeds firefox, if you dont have it go get it, if you dont want it, use IE. I think you just change it in RR config
Weather, DO A SEARCH FOR HOW TO SET IT UP

as with previous versions you will need to copy and past this code in "ExecTBL.ini"
THe skin uses 2 main menus, one with play buttons at the bottom and one without play buttons. Which one shows up depends on if you have music playing or not. No music you get the menu without the play buttons, etc.
IF YOU DONOT COPY THE TEXT BELOW INTO ExecTBL.ini YOU WILL NOT HAVE ACCESS TO THE MAIN MENU

There're a few "new concepts", but Guino must see if they can be implemented. If it's not possible, I'll change the graphics for Digital Graphite 1.0.

There's a new "window" for the Winamp's spectrum analyzer (it needs manual position adjust), see menu.skin and audio_player.skin and edit them if you don't want it.

This skin was made for a friend of mine who drives a 2004 Mazda 6. I tried to match the look of his HU and climate controls.

Here is the unfinished �lite� version, fonts and Map Monkey skin mod.

Note: The DVD, Launch and CDrip screens are still untested and in progress. There is an issue with the �Searchfiles� osk in the audio browser that I�m also working out. If your particular setup requires different screens such as External DVD, MapPoint, Radio, Web, ect.. you can fill in the gaps with files from kuo's wonderful �clean� skin found here .(the style is somewhat similar)

My skin is a Mix of the BrushedMetal and Vortex style (a little bit modified). The Phoco section is son of Winni and the Mmi skin (@Hematec, i hope you are not angry if i have take off some piece of your beautiful skin) :yum: .

New features and enhancements:

Added the ability to save individual user settings that can be recalled at any time. It saves skin colors, wallpapers, EQ presets, Playlists, Favorite weather cities and many other skin functions.
Added dynamic color sliders (Thanks to BlueZX3) that allow you to change the slider and pointer colors using the skins color palette.
New adjustable overlay that allows you to change the brightness of the skin with a slider. Great to dim down the skin for night time driving. (Thanks to BlueZX3 for his help on this one)
Re-Worked the Font and background color chooser. It is no longer flash based.
Replaced Internet Radio stations that stopped working and added another 10 stations to the mix.
Complete new look for the skin, giving it a more "glassy" and cleaner look
Most of the icons have been re-done, and fit better with the look of the skin.
Added a Playlist feature for the main menu, so your playlist can be displayed and scrolled in the center of the main menu.

Re-Did the weather to be more Bandwidth friendly. When you load the weather, it will just display conditions and icons. If you want the maps, you can click the Load Maps button.
Fast user Switching that will save all settings for up to 6 users. This includes colors, wallpapers, playlists, Songs on the 10 disk changer, Favorite weather cities, radio presets and more...
Re-Worked the CD and DVD insert plugin. When you insert a Disk into the drive it will automatically begin playing. If you click on the indicator on the top of the screen, you can eject the disk, or play the disk. When the disk is ejected, it will resume the last song / playlist you were last listening to, at the last position you were listening it it at. It will slowly ramp the volume back to where you have it currently set.
Options on the album cover art browser to choose how many albums to display on the screen at one time ( 6, 8 or 18 covers at a time on screen)
Complete re-work of the Gauges screen and now includes a custom "virtual accelerometer"

NOTE: As the skin is transparent, the images you see in the background are a different variety just to show different looks, colors and styles. whatever background or color you pick, will be the same on all screens.

Vehicle Maintenance to keep track of oil changes, tire rotation ect. The last column calculates based on what you
enter in the last mileage and interval column.

Weather Live map that is dragable and zoomable. It will default to 1 of 3 things, to your GPS Location, to the Lat
and Lon you set in the ini, and if neither is available, will default to the center of the U.S.

HD Radio Skin. Top Right shows HDRadio is active, meaning you are listening to a station that is broadcasting HD.
Status shows that Sub Chanel 1 of 3 is playing. To change Sub Channels, click the Sub 1-6 buttons lower on the screen.
"Save Title" will save the name of the currently playing song (If the stations transmitsthe RDS signals) to a text
file you can review later to purchase that song.

The 2 titles and artist shows whats on each sub channel of that station at the same time, simply click one, and it will
switch to that stream.
