The problem is it is for a friend and doing it off a CRT monitor not his 7' touchscreen and I cant get it to maximise so it takes up the full screen, cant even drag the screen or anything, but works fine other than that. I am hoping that I can get it right before he comes round with his car with the 7' screen.

Why I am worried is that when I put his old HD back in it displays in full screen on the CRT and also when running Frodo v 1.0.8 and 1.0.6 on this computer with the CRT it displays in fullscreen.

Any ideas why, I am guessing because I havent download Win XP SP2 I am missing a file any guesses why this is the case? BTW cant install .NET 2.0 without SP2.

After scanning through the frodoplayer.ini I noticed that it was trying to load a skin that didn't come with the installation for the night skin which explained why I got it to work when I first installed it (before 8pm), I just changed the name to the default one and everything works perfect now. (See attached pic)

I have made sure I am on channel 1.. the preview channel... but the antenna signal indicators are not even showing.. I have also doublechecked to make sure that the COM port is set correctly.. and that my XM-direct is getting power through its cable...

I know there is some way to test it using hyperterminal.. but for some reason my search skills are gone today.. and I cannot find it..

I'm using an IR remote control to send keyboard commands to FP. Using the touchscreen while driving is too difficult.

Most of the keyboard automation commands I need are there, except that I'm having a bit of a problem with the DirListing commands:

I use this mode 99% of the time. While I can go up and down in the directory hierarchy, I cannot expand a folder if it has subdirectories using the keys above. FP requires a double click at that location to expand the subdirectories. How can I assign a keyboard shortcut to expand out a directory's subdirectories?

I just bought a Roadie and frodoplayer wont adjust the volume for the new soundcard. When I hit the mute key it doesnt mute, and switches back to unmute within a second or two. And the volume buttons dont work... Frodo is reading my volume at 0% all the time. Nothing changes if I tell it to adjust just the wave volume instead of master.

I havent duplicated this problem using any other application. I tried Itunes, but that, I think, is diffrent because it doesnt directly effect the soundcard. it just lowers the volume within that program.

I'd like to have the ability to have 5 buttons in the GUI corresponding to the 5 stars you can give a song. So that if you like the song while driving, you can instantly classify it. Then I'd like to be able to play songs based on >x number of stars.

I use FP in my Carputer of course, but I also have it replicating with my main computer in the house via Wifi. Would there be a way to have WinAmp also use these ratings for its playback?

I haven't seen any way to store ratings in the ID3 tags other than using a proprietary format in the comments tags. If this is the case, then I'd rather it also work with iTunes since I use that for my iPod. Nirvana would be getting the iPod, Winamp, and FrodoPlayer somewhat in sync.

One thing I like about RR is the IGmon support software. It does an great job at modifying your iGuidance install. I really like how it turns down the music so the iGuidance voice can be heard. It also has a cool feature that will auto zoom in and out based on your current speed. It also skins zoom and destination buttons nicely. Anyways enough about IGmon and RR. Is there any support software that will accomplish all the same stuff within Frodo. I downloaded and tried the IGmod software but it just didn't cut it.

I really want to run Frodo over RR, so anything to help would be nice.

When using Frodoplayer, after a song has played all the way through, the ID3 tag is written to. The "Comment" field becomes something that looks like hex.

If I fastfoward through a song it doesn't do it. If I play the song all the way through using Media Player, it doesn't do it. I thought it might have something to do with a playcount, like iTunes does. But, to my knowledge neither Frodoplayer or Media Player do this.

I've been playing with FP1.10 for the last couple of days, and am having 2 issues.

1) It seems like the default device used by FP for playback via Windows Media Player 10 on Windows XP is the Windows Sounds Audio device (specified under WMP->Tools->Devices->Speakers->Advanced->Audio) as opposed to the Media Player Sound playback device (specified under WMP->Tools->Devices->Speakers).

This is problematic for me since I ideally want to keep these as different devices for various reasons (I specify my directsound output as the WMP Sound playback device through my high-end M-Audio sound card, and specify my Windows Sounds Audio device (through which windows beeps, etc., play) as my On-board Audio card. This also allows me to pipe my GPS software voice directions to a very small speaker position near my ear, while my music plays through the car speakers. To get FP to play through my high-end card, then, I am forced to switch everything over to that card, which isn't optimal but does work.

2) However, when I do this, the volume control buttons on the skin don't work and I cannot hear anything. When I manually start up the windows volume control, I find that FP sets the volume to 0 on startup, and the only way to raise the volume is to use the windows volume control since the skin buttons don't work.

Is there a way to (a) Tell FP to use the specified WMP output device, rather than the Windows Sounds device (b) Assign the FP volum buttons to the correct mixer?
