Continuous Video Play? Video Playlist?

I have about a little over 300 music videos in WMV format. When I click a video in Neocar it will play just that video and not move on to the next. I'm sure there is an easy way to make a playlist and run it in random order, but I just cant figure it out. I tried to create a playlist in winamp and run it with neocar but I got an error and neocar shutdown.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You

Sub-folder play?

I've just found out about NeoCar and I am really really impressed!

I'm just wondering whether its possible to select a folder (such as an artist folder) and then play songs in sub-folders (such as several album folders)?

I haven't been able to find a way to do this but as there aren't any mouse-over comments I'm not sure I've figured everything out yet.

Ok ya i have a viaepia m10000, and so everything works, but when i try to use the shutdown button in neocar, it just hangs there...

like if a video/song is still playing it still plays but i cant click on any buttons in neocar

what do i do?

Is there a skinning tutorial somewhere...??

i got som problems trying to create my new skin, with the skin creator.
i usually get error 9 and error 91, and thats when i have added the file browser, as soon as i remove the filebrowser, the errors dissapear.

im using the latest version.

anyone got any suggestions, is there something special that i have to do to get the filebrowser to work??

by the way, this is my favourite frontend, and i cant wait for future releases.

Just thought id try to liven up this prt of the forums :p

So i thought we could post some NeoCar Script stuff

So i thought id post some command lines for copying a DVD

Im using DVD Decrypter for this:

dvddecrypter /mode isoread /DEST "C:\[DISC_LABEL].ISO" /start /close

the MODE is to create an ISO image onto the harddrive

the DEST is were the file will be saved and [DISC_LABEL] is used so it will put the lable of the dvd e.g. astroboy.iso

START is to start the program stright away and CLOSE it to close it once finished copying :)

Now If you create a shortcut to dvd decrypter and use the above for the commandline then u can set it to minamize when started so it will popup for 1second then go away and then will close itself when done :)

In the music section where it lists the files\folders, the listbox is a bit cluttered. I'd like it so that rather than listing the full filename in the listbox, it displays the id3 title tag for all files in the folder (assuming the tags are there). I love the user tunability. But it doesnt seem to save. I just took apart my ancient joystick, and being able to map keyboard controls and control nmc seems like an interesting and functional way to alternately control a front end beside the touchscreen.

I will probably be complaining about small minor details of this front end a whole lot in the next few weeks, so I wanted to make sure I also made known how great I think this front end is.

as rob said, its directory based for music. so is media car. a vast majority of the other players are list based. cool for them, I dont like it. So its refreshing to see that new front ends are being developed for those of us who prefer directory based listening.

second. its simple. well, thats a total lie. I have this theory that many of the enthusiasts here are like me or similar. mp3, gps, the occasional video or dvd on a blue moon (very very occasional dvd), and for those who replace the radio, they want that too.

so we have front ends that have web access, pictures, satelite radio, butons on the main screen to lauch external apps such as emulators, mixers, the list goes on and on. and on. ... and on. has anyone tried roadrunner? talk about every square inch of the main screen taken up!

and so it goes with neocar. way too complicated (for those of us who are minimalists) but what can we do? we can simply start up that skin maker (this is starting to get into theory, I havent figured out that part fully fully yet) and make a skin that has JUST mp3 and gps. or add the dvd. or maybe mp3 and radio for those who dont have gps. we can make it as simple or as complicated as we want to!

from what I understand, I could make a button for solitaire and load it as an external app and map it from the main screen. totally useless, but it means this front end is useful for the uber complex user, and perfect for the minimalist!

well, thats it for now. as I get a handle over the program, im sure ill be able to add more. but those two features alone have made this program the only candidate that has a fighting change to be better (and I mean WAY better) than media car.

MPEG2 (.m2v) Support?

Just wondering what the status of MPEG2 support is. I saw a post about it a while back but it wasn't ever answered. They play fine in WMP and Media Player Classic but not from within NMC. Since there's no way to add file associations from within the Manager, I'm not too sure how to get them working from within NMC. Any suggestions?

Dual monitor support

Heres another question for you netsuo.... i was looking at centrafuse, and in there newest version, they have dual monitor support which is something im doing in my install. In there setup you can set the full screen video or visualisation to display in the second monitor while you still have full regular view of the main application in the first monitor. This is perfect for my set up since it will enable rear seat passengers to view video or dvd playing while i view gps up front ....or any other combination of modules..... i would really love to see this implemented into neocar since i swear by this program....... :)

The point on NMC [VIDEO UPDATE]

Here's a point on current NMC dev status. You'll see where i am and where i want to go ;)

Before Beta 1, NMC was using first release of "graphical code", he was needing 2 things:

1. name of the module to find wich content module will show
2. control names to find action to execute and / or show

As of Beta 2 version, core graphical code has changed to a new "ACTIONS" system, letting you choose wich action every control has to execute. The main new feature was that control count is now unlimited.

After this release, i was thinking that the Final version will come fast, but i discivered new ways of improving one more time NMC bas code.

So, i'm now on the way to release an intermediate version, Beta 2a, with a BUNCH of new features.

First, i improved one more time module management code. Now you can create UNLIMITED modules and use unlimited controls on each of them.

Now, im about to REMOVE completely the "3 show modes" thing (normal, medium, full). With new core code its obsolete and unneeded. Skinners will now create one "module" for each show mode. Example: before, there was a audio full mode, now this is replaced by a "audio_full" module.

But what's better with this ? You can now create unlimited show modes !!

I'm also changing the way NMC is working with modules. I explain:

Before this version, each module was on a custom form (so a custom "window"). By example, if you was in MAIN module with audio playing, they was 2 windows, the MAIN window and the AUDIO window, but hidden.

This is more memory used and more CPU also.

Now, NMC is using ALWAYS the same form, so when you want to change module, NMC will simply repaint new controls without changing form ! This is better performances and better module change time for you ;)

Another new feature i'm now coding is that you can now use EVERY ACTION ON EVERY MODULE. So if you want create a module with a FreeDrive GPS map AND a video, you can do it !

You can also merge everything with everything ! The only restriction is to specify wich module is base "AUDIO" module, and wich module is base "VIDEO" module. All other contents are FREE TO USE WHERE YOU WANT.

The last thing that next version will introduce is that every module will be separated in SKIN. So there's no SKIN.XML more, but one for each module.
Why doing this ? Just to let users use a module with another skin and IMPROVE features of NMC.
So each module will be placed in a separate subfolder in skinfolder.
You will also be able to place NCS scripts in module's subfolders and create complete "plugins" for existing skins.

At last, i think no new version will come before end august. Changes i make ar BIG and i need to check all before release. I prefer coding slow and release a great new version ;)

As you can still guess, I am still newb to this program- with that in mind, whats the best way to get dvd support. Ide love to have the ability to put in a dvd movie and have it played via nmc. If it cant be done I can just as easily use zoomplayer to autoplay it, but like I said, I'de like to keep it to 1 program running if at all possible. thanks!

Here's a video preview showing you what i'm coding theses days.

Its a mode to allow you navigate and use all NMC functions (even scripts) using keyboard and ONLY 3 or 5 keys like on a DVD remote.

The "3 keys" mode is just a mode that cycle trough current module's controls, you have button left, right or OK to validate functions. This will be great for peripherals like powermate.

The "5 keys" mode is like on a DVD remote: right, left, up, down and OK to validate.

Two soundcards??

Now this is something i want netsuo to have builtin to NMC but im not just saying give me without any info for him ;)

Now i know you like using windows calls so besides VB dependices thats all you need to run NMC.

Well i've been trying to create a app to embed into NMC for my TV card and i thought id see what you think about doing this.

now from win 2k to XP windows uses a WDM driver for all imaging devices and these can be called from applications to have control over them.

Now win 9x doesn't do this if i remember corectly but it might have im not sure.

Cause you like to do this netsuo you can do this and all the person needs is to have a tv card with its drivers installed to use this.

Now there is a problem of course :(

I've been trying to change channels in the external program but i can't without a ugly windows box with a crap interface to change channels.

Now xp with sp1 had a new function which lets you set a tv channel to view.

But this doesnt help people with win 2k and xp :(

Now its in c# and i've read it and reread it and i have no idea how to use it in VB6

i just can't get the basics of what he's doing but im not that good at VB

but this means tv with the ability to change channels is possible :)

But there is a downside windows sets what WDM capture device to use and if you using a webcam on the pc then whatever you use to view the cam will be showing the TV

you can select it from a list for the specific program to view that device without changing the windows setting on which device to use as standard

But this isn't a great approach for NMC to have it embedded :(

If you could even help me with the TV tuning code it would help if you don't want to spend time implamenting it into NMC.

But this is what you wanted if you were to implement it into NMC.

Maybe you could use this code to show a webcam in NMC if thats a feature you would like to have (replacing the viz with webcam image from the front or back of the car perhaps)

But yeah i'v got some VB code on this so if it is handy for you i'll send it to you :)

well NMC is quite a good software, but no other skin except the "Light" works on my CarPC ?!? My Favorite is the Pioneer one, but after loading the GUI , i can't press any button or can quit the Programm. Then i tried the Tech skin and even this wont work . there comes the "loading" screen and then there's a blank screen without buttons

DAY/NIGHT solution with NCS

Ok people, I know netsuo will implement day/night skinning but since I�ve found that NCS is very powerfully and shure because of the performance I�m going to use this solution probably in future too :)

I used the Gamma Panel, which for example I noticed, 'Road Runner' is using too.

At first we need the gapa.exe, gapa.ini and gapa.log placed in the MAIN directory of NMC.

Bugs with keyboard shortcuts?

1. When using keyboard or remote to navigate NMC, if you go to main menu and select audio module then key presses are mostly not working. They do work sometimes but i have not been able to see any pattern as to when it does or doesnt work.

NMC seems to get "unselected" as the current program. To get shortcuts working again, you need to click on NMC on the windows taskbar. This happens even if NMC is the only program running.

There doesnt seem to be a problem with any other module.

2. When in any module, if you use the shortcut for main module sometimes need to press the button twice.

3. In main module - when using shortcut for previous module, it only detects one press, will not cycle through the different modules. Also, the OSD goes to previous but on screen the selected module does not change.

e.g When return to main module, pressing next module changes from
audio > video > photos. If press previous module, OSD will show video but photos is still selected. Pressing again does nothing.

There is no problem using next module.

Using additional "command-line" attributes for external applications

Im trying to use VLC media player to watch DVD or VCD as an external application in NMC. It�s very accessible and have lot of smart functions.

I could start movies with options like "vlc.exe vcd://e:" or "vlc.exe dvd://e:" or simply "vlc.exe e:" and it makes no differences with staring a dvd or a vcd.

i.e. in command-line: C:\Programme\VideoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe dvd://e:

so I�ve made a automatic dvd starting script like this...

C:\Programme\VideoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe
dvd://e:

but it starts normaly the application without any option... I tested many possibilities but the attributes stay untouched.. And by the way I had this problem in each application when using additional starting options.

So, did I make something wrong or has this just out of order!?

Video Off Sync

I just installed NMC into the carpc and the video are way off sync by about 5 seconds doesn't matter what video i play.

it also sometimes just stops and the audio keeps playing.

I'm running a via MII 6000E so thats 600mhz could that be the problem?

I could play video fine in media car or frodoplayer so im wondering if this is a bug? or my carpc isn't fast enough to use video in NMC?

About a year ago I did not even manage to install it since installer complained about missing dll file of unknown origin (supposedly to be fixed by now...). Well, not much has changed since that time....

Last night i thought i would clean up my PC so i uninstalled a few old programs that iv not used for a while. Now i cant run NMC ( or NM or NPC for that matter). I have tried removing and reinstalling, and also downloading VB runtime files but still no success

HELP PLEASE!!

Also deleted the file vbalexpbar6.ocx, then reinstalled NMC which reinstalls the file but still get the same

Problems in NCP

Is anyone else having trouble using NCP? I've come across a couple of problems so far:

1. I find that occasionally buttons are losing their function in NMC. When i open the skin with NCP the layout is all ok but when i double click on a button there is no function specified. I had to input all the functions over again but the same has happened again today.

2. I cant get the embedded filelist to show. When i start NMC i get an error as shown in picture below. Using skin validation it tells me the font alignment is missing, but when i add the alignment all i get in the list is "text 1" as shown. :confused:

Any ideas???

Edit: Also, what do u guys think of the skin? Any comments welcome

As v.065, NMC have no equalizer module more.
Lot of people has asked for this, so i've recoded the famous equalizer module.

It's not finished, i have to code some other functions like presets management and preset buttons, but equalizer bands are allready working.

You can create Bands for any frequency in NPC, you have a maximum of 16 possible bands, from 80 to 16'000 Hz (limited by the DLL i use).
Presets are automatically using found values, even if skin and equalizer are different, it just use correct values found and passes over the others.

So, here's the first shot. This module will be released with next version.Next version will also include FreeDrive module and custom modules for scripting. I expect to release this version in a week or so.

After spaceman's question about eject cd button not found, i tried toi do it in neocarscript.

And it WORKS !

Error 0 on NM's last version

A bug can occur in last version of neocar manager.

This is a conflict between DLL versions.

Please search for "SSubTmr6.dll" in all your folders, delete ALL versions of this file, just let the one in "system32" folder.

Now go to Start menu > run > regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\SSubTmr6.dll
If the error continue, just make the same thing for the file called "vbalexpbar6.ocx".

This will normally get rid of the problem.

Hello..

I've just got my CarPC running again. :)

I have got the navigationprog: ViaMichelin MapSonic.

And I have got it to work in extermal Apps, the close func works and all..

But here is my problem, the first time it was fine.

Second time I opened it, it was minimised, and if I chose to have it in front of NMC then when i maximize it I can't se NMC anymore, and if I chose to have NMC in front, then I can't se MapSonic, and then I can't use it. :mad:

Anyone who can help me with that problem?

I hav been reading on the forums that the ideal display resolution is 800x480. So my question is: Does this mean that when making images for new skin in PSP that the image size should be 800x480?

Neocar External Application Bug Fix!

This is actually very easy to fix! Its not a bug as far as Im concerned, being a programmer myself I recognized something in the XML code, and know something about how running external programs work using API. Every program has a class or parent name. Let�s take a common program such as Acrobat Reader. The executable is AcroRd32.exe and the name of the program is Adobe Acrobat Reader, but when the window comes up it shows �Adobe Reader� XML is very powerful, but very specific. It identifies case and other specifics. If you open this file in notepad: applications_externes.xml you will see some entries, if you have created any external application entries. The part in the section for each program, the application name, the path, the finding text etc. If you open the xml file mentioned, you will see these entries. I use a program to play dvd movies called Power dvd. PowerDVD.exe is the executable, but when it comes up on the screen it shows exactly like this= �PowerDVD Deluxe version� in this exact format with the caps as they are. If my Finding Text or (texte_recherche) in the XML file does not reflect this exact name, then the problem occurs. Because neocar needs to resize the application to fit in the window, it has to run an API call to find the parent window, and if the name is wrong, it cant find it. Not a bug, more like a missing guideline. If your program is still not working, then do a Ctrl+Alt & Del and see what your Task Manager thinks your program name is. Hope this helps everyone.

Update on development

A little update on the current work in progress.

I've finished optimizing audio, video and photos modules. All are working completely trough keyboard shortcuts also.
The filelist module is working 90%, i've recoded all this module to make it better (in code, but the functions will stay same).

Here are some functions i've added:

- On-Screen Display with keyboard actions (even over the video or AVS)
- you can now select a different font / size/color/alignement for each show mode in the skin. Changes are backward compatible
- new images caching system for all filelists. Now all images are cached for better results
- new previews images showing system: the folder is loading directly without previews and they are loaded and painted after for better performance
- you can use keyboard shortcuts for every NMC's actions, even if the control is NOT on the skin ! (this will be perfect for keyboard controlled skins without any buttons :D )

Now i'm finishing the filelist and i will then go for the last part of the general optimization: the external apps module. I have to make a better support for mapmonkey and other external apps.

I plan to finish in 1 , 1.5 weeks and after that i will release a new NMC version ;)

How to make a safer Skin for driving

While driving today i wanted to skip through the songs to something i wanted.

Now looking to the lcd to push the button isn't very safe as unlike a cd/radio you can't feel what button you wanna push then it hit me and i pulled over.

To make using a touchscreen for music safer when driving i though why not use the corners.

Add the skip back and skip forward a song to the bottom left and right corners of the screen

this was all you need to do is feel the corner then you know where to push

Now it wouldnt look wierd the way i have it in my mind but it might look wierd if you add another 2 buttons on the top corners.

But if you don't have a remote or stearing wheel romote and just a touchscreen this is a good idea.

what do you guys think?

Some news about NMC project, finally.

I'm back from the army, and i've started again to work on the next NMC's release.
I'm currently adding keyboard shortcuts support, as many have requested.

You will be able to select a keyboard shortcut for every action like browsing files with only 4 buttons (up, down, ok, previous folder) and use all functions without touchscreen.
This function will also let you control NMC over Girder for remote control support.

Stay tuned for other news very soon. I'm continuing to code on the keyboard way and i will let you know about other new stuffs i'm coding ;)

I just completed the installation of my car computer consisting of a 7" touch screen and a MSI Mega 651 model cube pc.
Nothing fancy Pentium4 2.53ghz, 256 mb ram, DVD/CDRW and a 40 gig hard drive.
The pc sits comfortably wedged behind the passenger seat of my 1991 Toyota Celica 2 door GT coupe. This car is a show car in the works. Because it is winter, body work is very difficult so the interior is getting my current attention.
I was going to build an html based front end for it, Being impossible to find a touch screen friendly general media player I found that it was easier to skin Neocar Media Center. I used the 2a version of NMC. I did the research on all of the other front ends posted on this forum. I liked all of the products, but Neocar seemed to be the cleanest, most logical, and also fitting my needs perfectly. Here are some screenshots of the skin I came up with.
This skin was put together with a few elements of many other skins from other front ends that I really liked.

Help with Neocar and Girder?

Does anybody control neocar with girder? I'm having troubles to teach functions to girder.
Example: I capture next button event with girder, girder detects event and testing event on capture screen works fine, but when i try to use command with my remote, it presses multiple buttons. Usually vis fullscreen and pause.
I have tested all possibilities and options that i can think of. Is there more options to control neocar with girder? Keyboard shortcuts, system commands, something else?

Neocar is almost perfect to my needs and i don't want change front end.

Hi

In the Light skin for NMC i made some changes to the main screen, nothing drastic, just moved some buttons about and moved the track title down to just above the play button. The problem now is that when the track title scrolls it doesnt use the seperator i used in NM (just a few spaces). Insteasd it uses "vide".

For example when playing Bob Marley's could you be loved, this is what i get on the main screen:

"Bob Marley - Could You Be LovedvideBob Marley - Could You....."

The vide should just be a few spaces, the way it is in the music module. I tried replacing the skin.xml with the original and changed only the size of the track title box, but got the same thing again. I dont get this in the music module, only the main screen.

Does anyone know why this is?

Hello all.

I'm not dead, i'm just coding and coding and coding.. trying to debug the actual version at max.
My main goal is to optimize NMC's code the more i can before releasin' a new version.
So, do NOT expect any big news in further version, just a BIG improve of software's performances.

I'll post a new release when i'm happy with my code. I will also add a error handling function.
I can allready say that next version will be LOT LOT LOT better than actual (bugged) crappy release. I've allready done some great new code :)

Do not expect any news version until 2 weeks minimum.

I know alot of us car guys have the indiglo gauges.

Why not make a day skin that matches the gauges, and a night skin that resembles the reverse indiglo gauges.

I think it would be cool to have an interface that matches the dash.

Error 13

Hi Netsuo,

i�m back on skinning, but i have a problem.

I get EVERYTIME an "Error 13" when i start my skin.

I�ve tried to make a second new skin with your pix.
so i copied all files into a new Folder, and delete the skin.xml.
Then i only made the Main Skin with NSW.
Without any buttons only the time and the volume buttons.
I get also a "error 13" with this "skin".

The Info folder is complete filled out.

do you have any idea what i made worng or what is missing?

DAB Radio intergration ?

ok peeps I been missing my radio (HU) in my car like mad, the dlink usb one aint the best and sometimes bluescreens on mediacar.. which is never good.

I've just got a wavefinder DAB usb thing off ebay for about �30 in p&p. Now it does have issues with running on SP2, but its at the mo running on XPsp1 no probs. The quality is 100%. I've yet to bundle the laptop its running on and the wavefinder into the car and driven round to see if it works ok moving about.

But I think it will has the aerial at the mo it just on the desk in the house and the signal i'm getting is 100% so it looks good.

There are afew 1/3 party apps out, which makes me think it must be quite easy (for a programmer) to make a frontend to it. The ones that are out arnt very touchscreen friendly.. dabwin it prob the best as its skinable but to change stations its a couple of button presses.

I already know aimee is trying to intergrate this and wondered if there is any chance it might be intergrated with NMC ? or if anyone wants to start making a frontend for it that is skinable and touchscreen friendly ? that could be embedded into NMC..

I'm very impressed with this wavefinder so far !

please tell me there might be a future for this.

External Apps

As you know, it remains problems with external applications.

I'm searchin' hardly new ideas to avoid theses problems and i think i've found a new way to embed other apps, so i'll try to make changes for alpha 2b. (another 90% bugfix / 10% new functions release).

I also will add a new option to organize external apps in categories, by just entering a custom category for each app. Then NMC will make a list of categories and sort applications in subfolders on the apps list. I think its a good idea, and not difficult to implement.

I think i will add a custom "timeout" parameter for each external app (some big apps are loading too slow on little systems).

With Alpha 2a i introduce AUDIO CD (with eject button) and dynamic embedded audio loading (with a new button, see Light skin on alpha 2a).
So i absolutely need your updated skin's versions, therefore i can add them on my website.
The texts formats are now fully language ready, so you'll need to update your skin by just opening and saving them.

You can also retest the upload function i've tried to fix it.

Yet another NMC Skin [NMCBMW]

I did post this yeasterday, but with the DB begin refreshed the post was lost.

Anyway.. I'm making this skin for the following reasons;

1. For Me :-) to suit my BMW (orange look)
2. For the Wife.. something simple and easy to use in the car
3. Thats about it really

The music and video screens are the same.. the buttons in the same place and they do the same thing :-).. I'm trying to get away from the main menu thing like mediacar has.. as since you can stick these on the side theres no real point having a main menu. The Exit button is where the center of the BMW logo is. It shouldnt be used to much so putting it there prob a good idea. anyway should have it completed end of next week if i'm lucky :-)

Big bug found on Alpha 2 !

I've found a big f***n bug in the current release.

It's caused by AVS (one more time) that crashes audio module when changing to another module.
It only arrives on some systems (mine for example) but it's really causing lot of problems.

It's fixed now i think. So i'll make some bug corrections and i'll release the Alpha 2a as fast as i can.

NSW Problem/Bug?

i have a litte problem during skinning.

When i open a skin, witch have "liste_fichiers_integree" implemented, NSW crash with an error. See picture (NSW error .jpg)

Every time, i implement "" on my skin,
NSW crash by clicking preview with following erreo. See picture (NSW error liste_fichiers_integree.jpg)

If i want to start NMC with my skin, i get also an error13. See Pic (NMC error.jpg)

Can anyone help me please ?????

[???] Why is my forward button sooo slow in alpha 2 ?

If you let "next track" button pushed, the track will forward after 1.5 seconds. But by default i've seen that the parameters are bad so the track is very slow to forward.

Just go to neocar manager > button's speed and set the seeking speed to 10. try to increase the acceleration also. I'll change parameters for next version.

I've made a mod for the actual Febsperanza's skin Feb23day, just to support auto hiding full mode in images module. I've made also some font changes and alignement corrections.

Here's the skin.xml file to replace:

And then go to the skin's folder and remove theses files:

photos_full.jpg
photos_pressed_full.jpg
photos_hover_full.jpg
photos_fond_full.jpg

Then rename all photos_XXXX_medium.jpg to photos_XXXX_full.jpg.

Check finally in neocar manager if you've activated the full mode auto hide for the images module (Display options) and load NMC > photos module > switch to full mode: it's now auto hiding like in movie and music modules :D

EDIT: i've also activated ertical volume bars as NMC work perfectly now

Here's another good idea i have in made few months ago. I really want to do this because i think NMC's architecture is ready to implement them, and because i think this will unlock some GREAT potential for NMC.

With this scripting system you will then able to make really what you want in NMC !

For the script language, i've choosed Visual Basic, because it's REALLY REALLY simple to implement and because i have no code conversion to make for the script to work in NMC.

I just have created some new functions that allow you to get extra information from NMC, direct from code !

You just have to read this little reference file (easy to read for all):

I've just tested a little thing today:

To wait for the future "options" module (embedded in NMC) that i will code, you can now (as it's resizable) include neocar manager as an external application directly in NMC.

This is working good with what i've tested.
Not all options will be dynamic but i'm working on a temporary solution for very next release. (due for next days)

I also saw that external apps are not moveable in NMC, this will be fixed.

NSW Alpha 2 BUG: error while uploading

I'm asking me one question: why lot of people is testing NMC (i see this with the thread views) and NO ONE (only "known" users like RoyN, JC-S60, Gyro, CDRSkull...thanks to them and to all that i forgot to mention) is posting anything ?

I really want to have more feedbacks, reviews, complaints, bugs and also all you want to say ! I NEED this to progress in the right way.

I need to know all you think of NMC, why you won't (or will) use it, why you want some new functions, what's your priorities...
This cannot be made without having differents feedbacks (other than the common users).

So i please you to help me developp the right way.. say me all you think, no matter of if it's positive or negative.
By the way, if you say me that all is ok, i will be just happy and will then developp new things :)

I want to make NMC the best carPC software, and i think the best carPC software is a software that all users can use without making concessions.

Sometimes i'm just really thinking i'm the only one here... and i think developping an application is bidirectionnal: i code, you say what's up, i'm happy, you're happy.

NMC Newbie Help

I just read every post in this forum, and tried to read the content available in French on the NMC website but can't figure out what I am doing. Could you guys help me out with a couple of questions:

- Is there a basic install guide on how to setup NMC with FM radio (radiator?) and GPS (destinator?)?

- Am I the only one that recieves errors when I try to run NMC Manager under XP SP2?

- Does NMC support plugins, extensions, or something like that? I think it supports external apps embedded in skins, but I can't find info on how to do this. Maybe I would understand better if NMC Manager was working for me.

- If there are plugins / extensions, is there a list of what people have created so far?

Hi Netsuo, I seem to remember you were working on a night version of light skin... Has this been released somewhere?

Yesterday evening I was in my car for a while and the day-light skin was really too bright, even turning the screen brightness down, and I found myself turning the screen off a few times while I wasnt using the carpc...

Opinions?
