I had this problem once before and I figured out that I hadn't filled out the entire tag on the MP3 files. That solved the problem then. Now, I have filled out the tags, I sort by file name and I created three different albums all at the same time. Re-ran the synch and two of the albums show up under artist but not the third. They all show up under "directory" listing. I have copied over the files again and run the synch to no avail. I have also examined the file tags on the sucessfully listed and the not sucessfully listed and they appear the same to me. They show info in the fields; artist, album, title, genre, year.

It works great, now i turn the car off and the Pc shuts down. The issue is that it does a hard shut down, so basically frodoplayer crashes.

When you normally shut down FP it closes, and when you start back up it resumes at the exact same spot in the song you were listening to. In my case, the hard shut down makes it start up on the last song it was playing when it had its last soft power down. Example I turn My pc on:
song 1 plays in entirety
then song 2
then 1 minute of song 3
then I shut the coputer down the right way using the function in FP
then when i restart it begins at 1 minute of song 3
then i hear all of song 4
then all of song 5,
then shut my computer down using the program that minlogonshutdown.exe
When i restart the computer begins again at 1 minute of song 3.

Is there any way around this..
Its kinda minor, but i have 22,000 songs and don't want to thear them over and over again.

I hope my explaination wasn't too confusing

2. Behind the scenes, background task runs and copies new music folders to the same tree (like my robocopy task connecting to network share over Wifi and picking up new stuff on my main medialibrary)

I have a Griffin Powermate and I run FP. The rest of my specs are in my signature, if you need them. I have the powermate set to change volume up and down, pause, scroll through the directory list, and play selected song. All of those functions except volume up and down are done via keyboard shortcuts in FP. [I've tried using shortcuts for volume as well, but stopped because of this bug]

When I'm listening to music, everything is fine, works great. When I watch movies or music videos, however, sometimes the Powermate stops working. Well, I think it just stops working the keyboard shortcuts. I switched volume over to master volume so that I dont lose that when this happens at inopportune times. In order to get it back, I have to minimize FP and open the Griffin settings program from the little icon in the task tray. I dont even need to reset the settings, just open the program. I think I dont even have to hit OK, but could be wrong. Just so long as I actually select that as the active program, and then go back to FP, it works again.

Weird, right?

I'm doing some xtress test (the xtress is on me 'couse i don't do anything else than "carputer" every day, trying to have this ready for march 9) so I close,open,hibernate,take the volume down to 0 then to 100 then to 50,open navigation close navigation,open tv plugin (this program fly2000 sucks) ans so long.....

Problems so far is with the volume some time is 0 or sometime is 100 after power off or restart.Also the name in fullscreen video is not there anymore after restarting or powering off.
Also when I playing an mp3 and i look in to my files for another one and I select(highlight in yellow) it doesn't play that one but the one that is right down.

example:

my sacrifice --- creed is playing

go thru my data and find the mp3 that i want.

one----metallica is selected
nothing else matters----metallica is right down

So it play nothing else matters instead of one.(shufle is no select).

l Install frodo in one of the 6 machines that i have (the #4 that have frodo in it :) ,with the default skin that came with frodo) and is doing the same.

Don't know if those are bugs or what but if you need somebody that test this super piece of program I'll be there (I have slepping disorder sindrome) so I'm up 20 hours a day.(for 4 hours my girl force me to laid down)

I got a new CD for Christmas (WOW 2005) and i popped it in the drive on the way to work today and it spun up like it usually did but frodo player wouldn't give me a list of tracks like it usually does.

After further investigation and determining that it will play all other cd's that i tried and even replacing the IDE cable (thinking that my 6 foot IDE cable might be the problem) I have determined that it is isolated to frodoplayer becasue of the fact that it does play fine in Windows Media Player.

Can anyone out there help me resolve this issue. It could be something else but everything points toward frodoplayer. I thought that it was odd that Windows Media player could play the disk but frodo couldn't. I thought that Frodoplayer used Windows Media Player

4) This time i do not select a song but just push the play button.
* What happens now is that the new song (the first one in the list) is playing but the currently playing field is showing the name of the previously played track. If i press the play button again the track name of the currently playing song appears.

I have XP SP2 w/ XM direct using Hybrids cable. I am testing on my desktop to limit variables. Signal strength is very strong.

After listening to XM it stops responding. The music stops and the selected channel info stops. I can continue to navigate around the screen and highlight other channels, they just won't play. If I exit XM and go back in, It will work for a shorter amount of time. It will not work after that unless I quit the program and go back in. (Mem leak??)

I am not complaining - you guys especially Frodo are doing a great service for this group!!!

I use USB sound and touch screen so this means I have no sound and no input devices when this happens. When FP starts up, it will pop up a dialogue (with a German error message -- something about the mixer control) to complain about the missing sound hardware. I have an ignition override switch that I can throw to force my Opus/Windows to shutdown.

The problem is that Windows can't shutdown because FP will not exit while the error dialogue is being displayed. Since none of my USB devices are working, I have no way to dismiss it. This forces me to either wait for the Opus to detect a failed shutdown (seemlingly this can take 15 or more minute) or stop the car and pull the fuse on the system.

Knowing the monkey's temperment, I'm sure he won't consider this a bug. There is no error-log in the Frodoplayer directory. (its a fresh install)

I also get a lot of filenames that dont start with the artists name but seem to be listed with just the filenames.
I enabled the "Artist-Title" mode and disabled the tracknumber display.
Still they are listed with only the filename.
Could this be because they are .ogg files?
Tag&Rename shows me that the tags are just fine.

Misc: My system is at the edge of solid DVD playback. But in my past tests, playing DVD's with AC3filter

When the laptop peaked out it would chop the sound not the video. So I do not believe
that it is that. Althought the new FP has alot more features that may be overwhelming
my baseline laptop. As a last comment, I use PG-VTag plugin in Windows Media Player 9 to see the lyrics and album art while playing MP3s. Since the lyrics are not scrolling (I'm working on a kareoke mode) I must mouse click on the lyrics to page through them. Unfortuantely, the only frodoplayer skin that support this method of following the lyrics is liquid_1.5GPS_PC. I think it has something to do with focus being lost by PG-VTag whenever the fullscreen menu pops up, but I tried leaving it on and that didn't help either. I use a Logitech 3D Extreme joystick and Joystick2mouse (an XML interface)for remote control of basic functions: volume up/down, next/previous song, mouse movement, etc., and I have to click on certain areas of the skins to get the focus back to frodo so these functions work. While driving tonight, I was using the embedded Iguidance 2.0, found my way back to where I knew where I was going, hit hide, and then went to full screen visuals (using purchased gforce vis) Apparently having iguidance running in the background, and the full vis was too much for my epia m10k with 512mb of ram. It locked up hard, I had to disconnect the opus from the motherboard just to get it to turn off. Is there any way to have a "return to player" button, as well as a "close gps app" button? Settings are: 'show title' and I have 'Show track numbers in list' checked. I use 'sort by file name', because the file names are 'track' numbered.

On most albums the list just shows 00 - track name?

Is there a fix for this?

I open Iguidance within Frodo, use it, and then hit hide to go back to the main screen. When I turn the car off, I usually hibernate the computer, and it hangs. This only happens when Iguidance has been launched within Frodoplayer. I've figured out that it's because when I hit hide to return to Frodoplayer and shut down, the nav software is still up and running in the background. If I don't go in and manually close out the GPS software, it freezes my computer on hibernate.

Is there any code you could write to automatically close out of the navigation app upon shutdown/hibernation?

Pgup and Pgdn do what they *should* in a normal app, they scroll the directory lists as does Home and End but they don't do what they are bound to do in keyboard shortcuts...

Problem is those are the only keys I can bind to my touchpad and now I can't bind them to pause/next track in Frodo.

It worked fine in 1.08 but won't in 1.09

When running Destinator embedded I am getting no sound from FP until the voice gives me driving directions - then I hear both the directions AND the mp3 that is meant to be playing. When the voice stops then so does the music.

I'm having difficulties working out what is going wrong!

I don't really know if this is a bug or not. I'm trying to use my radio extreme with frodoplayer by connecting the radio extreme to my audigy2 nx's line in. I set Frodoplayer to control the volume of the line in, but it does not change the volume. It will however mute the sound. I then used just the radiator program(also set to control line in) and it worked fine. I also tried the radio extreme with my desktop also using frodoplayer and it worked seamlessly. I've went through just about every setting in frodoplayer, windows, and radiator but nothing works. I changed the album art filename option from album.jpg to folder.jpg since WMP helped me create alot of album art allready.

When in BBAA, I can see the small album/folder art, but when I click on the album/folder to enter it, it won't display a large album art image unless there is a album.jpg file which it is still looking for.

I also tried to get album art to display in the visualization/info window but all I see is that default album art with the note in it picture.
