Is it possible to create a Mini-Mode BUTTON in the player? I've read Frodo's Mini-Shortcut FAQ, but it doesn't exactly answer.

I know I can get into Mini-Mode from the player by holding 3 seconds on unused portion, but I need a button. IMO, holding a button on a touchscreen is damn near impossible. Also, for whatever reason, the Mini-Mode I get to by holding 3 seconds is an unrecoverable Mini-Mode; I can't get back to Full.

I've also read Frodo say, if it isn't in skin.ini you can't button it. Well Mini is in skin.ini, albeit missing Top and Left. "MINI_WIDTH=35.15625
MINI_HEIGHT=17.578125".

Ive added MINI_TOP and MINI_LEFT, but No Joy.

Now, I'm trying to upgrade on a new install to a newer version of FP (1.0.9). I'm running in 800x600 on an 8" lilliput touchscreen, which is 4x5.

I've tried several skins (including 800x600 skins), and manually adjusted the height and width of the FP window to the correct size, but I still haven't actually found anything that is 4x5! Even the 800x600 screens are 'stretched' to fit a 7" 16x9 screen properly, and look like crap in 4x5.

Does anybody know of a simple work-around for 1.0.9 or 1.0.10, or a descent looking skin that is actually designed for 4x5?

This is a WIP. I'm not too happy with the Apps and Playlist Editor screens and the sliders. I already created the pics for the radio module but not the ini because I lack a radio card atm.

This is a personalized skin. It offers the functions I need and use, nothing more. I'm not going to add more options when I'm done, but anyone may use the psd's if interested. I'll release those at a later date.

BTW: The sliders in the night skin are red now. was too lazy to take a new screenshot :D.

The button design idea is from crsseyednsmilin and his vw skin. Thanks for that ;).

5. reboot into normal windows and it should work.

So after you download this APPs and my skin .rar you going to find that for every APP there is a Day/Night Skin.

So what you going to do is to create a main folder for each APP i.e: CDRip main inside that you going to put a Day folder and a Night folder So just descompress the plugins in those folders (for Mobile Emulator you have to install it in the default folder *mobile impact* and the use the same .installer to do the Day/night.

The wmp10 visualization(i think its that version) when its in fullscreen view the bottom(equalizer) is cut off. i think because its in 16:9? is there a way i can make the whole thing fit the 16:9 res? i want to do this cause i thought that it would be a cool screen to look at when just riding and listening to music(for those that haven't seen it, it has the equalizer at the bottom, OPTIONAL:album cover/song info, and it has clouds up top that move) it looks like it could be stock

What I am going for here:
1. Simplicity - Removing unncessary features: ie. Not sure I want the volume controls on the screen, if I am using a powermate to control the volume. However if I could rotate an image based on volume, that would be awesome. Does anyone know how to do this?
2. Easy to Read Big Buttons
3. Have both a larger vis window and more importantly a wide playlist window.

If you think its a good start, then find something wrong with it, and tell me that too.

Here are a few different versions I have been playing around with.
The button boxes are for play functions and the other controls. the two buttons in the middle are for power and menu.

Here are a few backgrounds I was playing with. All of the button symbols will be cut out of the button, allowing the led backlite effect that you see elsewhere. The first two are my favorites thus far.

4/29/05 around 2 30 am : finished coding the bottom bottom of the menu and going to sleep!
4/30/05 around 1 pm : started working on the exit menu full screen buttons and mini view design
4/30/05 around 3 pm : finished exit menu - full screen buttons - mini view and posted screen shots and uploaded the app view for people to download and test and now getting ready for a gig tonight PARTTYYY TIME!!
