Good to know that there are other CarPC enthusiasts in Austin, didn't think there were any.

Perhaps we should get together when my brain isn't on makin money & talk tech? I'll give you a more in-depth look at the system and you can critique it for me.

Wow, I didn't think that you guys would still be using my software. I can post the install file if I can find it.

Sorry about the absence, I got wrapped up in my freshman year of college.

Also, I was 90% finished with the newest version. Unfortunately my interests have changed, and I probably won't continue to work on the software.

Just wondering in the modifier keys section, I can't seem to find an option for "Spacebar" as a special "hotkey." How do I add 'Spacebar' as a hotkey?

I have quit working one of my jobs during the week. I now only work weekends there. I still have 2 other part-time jobs, but now I might actually have some time to work on this program.

BTW, I'm getting pretty good a flash, and starting some C++, if a new version comes out soon, it will look better, and be coded better.

Also, there is no keylogger installed. If you are worried about it, watch your firewall. BSR never attempts to access the internet.

The spelling feature uses the phonetic alphabet. (Alpha, Bravo, Charlie) This is really the only way to accurately recognize letters. The spelling command also recognizes "up", "down", "backspace" and other commands. For a complete list look at the spelling phonetic.xml file. You can change any of the values in there to meet your needs. You could change "alpha" to "apples".

The valstr="" is what the program will type, disp="" is what the program will display or speak back to you, and the word between the > < is what the program will listen for.

You can also add more than one word for the same letter. For example "period" and "dot" both display "."

When the spell command is executed, the program will ONLY listen for letters untill you say "finished". The program will then say / display a confirmation.

You can add commands before and after [spell] with no problem. The commands after [spell] will not be executed untill you say "finished".

Other features are:

Bruno Speech Recognition 1.2

This program will accept speech commands and output a variety of system commands.

Prerequisites - Microsoft Speech Recognition Software (comes with MS office)
Read the "Read Me.txt" to find out how to install this.

The program can do the following:

-type any key on the keyboard, and hold modifier keys (shift, ctrl, alt)
-open any program
-close any specific program, or all programs matching a string (ex. "internet explorer")
-pause for any given amount of time
-put multiple operations together into one command (ex. Open internet explorer, wait 4 seconds, type hello, pess enter, wait 2 seconds, close internet explorer)

The grammar is configured by an INI file which can be handwritten, or you can use the program's automated grammar builder.

There are two levels of commands. Master and child commands. It is possible to have a master command of "open" and chlid commands of "internet explorer" and "notepad". If the user says "open notepad" or "open internet explorer" those programs will open.. but if the user just says "notepad" nothing will happen.

It is also possible to make commands with just one word, such as "internet".

In addition to all of this, it is possible to load 5 grammar files at once, select which ones are active, and even control the program itself with voice commands. (ex. "Enable Speech" "Disable Speech" "Disable Five" "Enable Three")

This program is beta, and you may find errors. I have only tested it on XP Please notify me VIA email or post here if you find any bugs. Also, please be aware that i quickly typed the Read Me, and I may have missed something.
