At present it doesn't re-sync files that already exist. That will be coming in a later version, where I'll use the last modified information as part of the checks to determine whether to sync a given file.

i started using this program today and I love it!!

Before I enter the garage it starts syncing!!:P:P

Would there be an option to choose which files to sync? i.e *.mp3, *.jpg, *.avi etc

I've made one and it hasn't worked - the PC still hung shutting down ezsync.

Go to your registry (Start > Run > regedit) and navigate to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop

Look for: AutoEndTasks, double click it and change the 0 to a 1.
This will make windows forcefully close any hanging apps when shutting down without any attempt to safely close the program.

Other things I changed:

WaitToKillAppTimeout - this determines how long it will take for it to end the task, default is 20 seconds.

HungAppTimeout, I changed the value to 1000 (1000 = 1 sec).

Are you guys shutting down or hibernating? And this is on the Car PC, not the server PC right?

I'm planning a new release, and I'd like to get this one fixed so please provide as much info as possible.

Been using EZsync a couple of days now and it works perfectly.
But I've still got a couple of questions:

How is the priority set of the file sync, the dir on top in source directory is 1th? Wouldn't it be convenient to make it possible to change the order, so more important files/directories are sync before mp3's or other files.

I've got 2 partiotions on my HDD, the client discspace is probably only the C partitions space. It isn't clear in the server app. But would be if it was the total discspace or each partition, which one could define in the client app.

A small part in the user interface for login and password client/server app, and also and unreadable storage of login/password would be more secure. Offcourse my wireless connection is encrypted, but my wired part of the network isnt, which makes it easy to recover my pass, and leech my pc.

I'd be mroe concerned about your wireless connection rather than your wired. Surely you wired connection is physically secure whereas even with encryption on the wireless its possible to get around.

When I connect through wireless connection which isn't mine, ezsync will sync via the wired part of my network over the internet, I've got my router portfowarded so even when I'm not in my own LAN, I can sync. I'm not worried about my wired connection, or even my wireless but running different servers and services makes it easy to hack when you don't store a password encrypted.

I'll look into it and see what I can come up with, as I know it's an area people could have issues with.
