awesome.. I'll check it out tonight...
do I just update the server.. and the client will update itself? or do I have to update both?
I've produced this release to address a few bugs and add a couple of things that people ask for. As always, feedback is very welcome.
- A fourth synchronization type of Upload Only has been added. This sends files in a cumulative fashion from the client to the server only.
- Multiple file filters per directory are now supported. See the page on Using File Filters (linked from the changes section) for a full description.
- A progress bar has been added to the client side.
- A directory mappings function has been added.

As long as you already have 1.9 installed, just install the upgrade on the server, and the client should upgrade itself.Originally Posted by strohj

Peep MY TYTE WHIP yo! It's got too many ill mods to list!
everytime i try i always get "user unknown" "client disconect" when i try it out

There is only one reason why "Unknown User" is generated in the server side log. It happens when the user name or password sent from the client do not match those as configured on the server. In other words, you need to set them up exactly the same. Is that what you did?Originally Posted by Motoko

Versions prior to 1.9 have the user id and password in the .ini file. Part of the installation was to manually enter the user id and password in the ezsynccli.ini and ezsyncsrv.ini files on the client and server respectively.Originally Posted by Motoko
At version 1.9 I moved the user id and password out of the .ini file. If you upgraded, this was done automatically by the application.
At version 1.91 I added code to ask for the password if it is not already set.
Assuming you are using version 1.91, delete info1.dat and info2.dat from the client directory and the server directory. Run up the server - it should ask you for a user id and password. Enter them and press OK. Run up the client, it will do the same. Enter the same user id and password.
That *should* get you going - let me know how you get on.

Im having a problem installing this software can anyone tell me what im doing wrong???
The first pic shows the error when im opening the client up and the second pic show an error after i have tryed to sync
Thanks
I have reproduced your fault. I presume you don't have Frodoplayer installed; when I temporarily moved my installation of Frodoplayer to another location I could make it do the same thing.Originally Posted by Ripsurf
It's caused by some code I put in to provide access to the Frodoplayer music database via ODBC. I have been a bit lazy in the way I've implemented it, so it'll need to be changed.
Try this version - just replace the executable on your Car PC with this one:
http://homepages.nildram.co.uk/~rich.../ezsynccli.exe
Let me know if that works for you and I'll put a proper patch together to rid us of this issue altogether.
