good work rudels. It is always better when you can say you made it yourself. Also you now know how to do it, so when you do what to make something that isn't commercially available, you can do it.

Too bad i find your topic late. People from peugeot, at least in my city, are a bit lazzy, and if you want a special spare piece, you' d better have the part number ready and just tell them you want to buy this item.

As you car seems to be a Pre-muxed 206, I suppose your stock headunit was a RD2. And yes, the face plate you were looking for is referenced in peugeot catalogue.
Now Galileo is real. Muhahahahaha :p

ha ha... dont worry, i know how you feel about lazy peugeot service... i went to the head dealership here and when i asked them for a face plate the dude told me that peugeot doesnt make them... so i asked if he could check the catalog... he came back ten mins later and told me he couldnt find a catalog and that he has never heard of a face plate for a 206... so i made one sorry if this is a stupid question... but what does "pre-muxed" mean?

Aren't Peugeot's ppl using the Laser Software ( some kind of souped up PDF reader that shows every possible piece of available hardware for a given car) ?

Pre muxed means pre-*multiplexed, cars producted before october 2001, when electronic wasn't every where, I mean as mine is multiplexed, I have to go to peugeot to tell the car she now has a cd-changer, or that I removed the stock head-unit (and pay 38€ each time)

Pre-muxed also means there's no weird - xfiles like - phenomens in the car... Imagine you're driving @ 130km/h when suddenly bam, no rpm no tachymeter, nothing displaid on the console for 5 minutes.
Now Galileo is real. Muhahahahaha :p

Not to hyjack your thread but on this I have to respond.

I drive a BMW. And it's BUS-controlled, one wire does it all.

Before I had a CarPc I bought an original BMW MP3 unit from Ebay. So I had to go to the dealership to connect the car on the computer and tell it I had put a new radio in it. Then I've put a second hand multfunctional steering wheel in it (also adding cruise control to the car with this) and I had to go again. And then I've tried to put in a multifunctional M technic steering wheel but this didn't fit. However I had to go a third time to the dealership because I messed up things and the airbag-light stayed on and they had to reset it.

Were am I going with this: Not one time did I have to pay a damn thing!!!

And everybody's saying BMW's are expencive! Try buying a Peugeot!!

To get back on topic a little bit: I really like the way your face plate turned out. And you get my respect for doing it yourself and not buying it!
