ha ha... thnx for the reminder... but i got all the sanding done last nite i want to eventually put in a car pc, but then ill make my front loader run to the mic in and then have the touch screen comming form the compu... and the sound system will run from my compu sound card... but thats all WAY in the future... im trying to save up some cash first and besides, if i could i would do an indash carpc like the double dins... but i dont have a double din and it gets WAY too hot in my car to have a pc in the dash.

More power to you if you like sanding...

But why don't you just buy a commercially available bezel? It probably will be cheaper then bondo + paint + sand paper? A quick look at ebay shows several different models available.

i know that fabricating a new piece when i could rather have bought one for about the same price may seem dum to some people, but i did this more for the learning experience... i am planning on doing some bigger mods in the future and need all the practice i can get

nothing dumb about it. I have a commercially made plate to mount a single din radio in my 1.5 din Dakota, but I am making my own anyhow, because I don't like the look of it, and want to make it so I can mount a slim slot load dvd underneath the radio.

I am going the wooden plug...rubber mold...liquid plastic route. While I have done alot of fiberglass work in the past, I really prefer working with wood much more, and have a full shop to work with.
