Thread: Can bondo stick to JB Weld? Paint?

Good question I cant find a direct answer to.

I figured someone here probably has come across this combo before.

Can you put bondo on JB Weld and have it stick?

Ive got a pet project where ive used JB weld to glue two pieces together, and there are still some gaps to fill. Id rather use JB weld to fill the large gaps, then go over it all with a small layer of bondo and sand it smooth.


And I know both can be painted, but what kind of paint is not going to flake, chip or be scratched off as easily as cheapo rattle can brand paint?
