i just didnt understand it ... should i cut the plastic of the CC.. or the plastic of the car behind the cc ??
The information about the depth of the Climate Control is in this thread, you need to cut the plastic.
i just didnt understand it ... should i cut the plastic of the CC.. or the plastic of the car behind the cc ??
You cut the CC plastic, posts #27 to #33 show where to cut.
I would recommend you get a spare one is case you mess up, as the car will run on full heater without the CC in it.
And make sure you only cut the plastic when you have taken the circuit boards out.
okai i will try to do it carefully i just didnt get cutting number two is it the vertical back of the CC because in the post the red line is in the middle of the CC. and what do u mean by.
tuck that down under the switches ..
and do i have to take the circuit bored out ??
thank you sir you are the expert it will be usefull if you could post some diagrams .
I live in Egypt and many are waiting for me to do it so if i did it wrong i will be screwed.
i got number 1 clear but number 2 still not !!! can any 1 explain and iwill do it and post photos !!! (sacrificing my self)
i need diagram or anything about trimming the CC to accommodate the depth. do i cut anything ?
Next time I have reason to take my CC out, I will take photos, but don't hold your breath as it is in and working and I don't want to tempt fate by taking it all out again.
that wiould be kind of you i started trimming and will b posting photos. i just want to get the second point clear : whaen u said
"2. You need to trim the plastic back and remove the vertical board and tuck that down under where the switches go. You must leave enough of the back for the fan to fit onto though."
1- the vertical board do u mean the one has the buttons on the front.
2what switches do u mean
3- tuck what down.
Thank youand forgive my annoyance
oops, meant horizontal one, ie not the one with the buttons on the front.
in between the sunglasses holder and the gear stick there is a row of switches, normally things like ASC and Heated seats switches sit there, you may just have a row of blanking panels.
You tuck the PCB that was horizontal.
oooooh i got it right now i already started cuttingi will past some photos when i finish..
but when i remove the blastic there is the green board (circuit) inside it.
should i throw the blastic away and keep the circuit naked
cause if i bind it down i will not be able to use the screw any more ???
Well at present my board is naked, but I did plan on putting a case around it, just never got around to it.
