    gluing foam

    Folks,

Door panels in my car have like white foam covered with plastic.
What do I use to glue to that foam? I need to glue metal braket and need maximum adhesion. Original braket was molded in and fell out..

    Thanks!

Thats a metal clip that was molded into door cover. You can see it's imprint next to clip. How do I glue it in?

try PL construction adhesive. it's a thick, peanut-butter colored adhesive that comes in either a foil tube or a cartridge for a caulking gun... you can get it at lowes or home depot. It has excellent gap filling properties, and air dries in about 24 hours and is completely waterproof.

this is what it looks like

Just make sure you get it in exactly the place you want and if possible apply light clamping pressure to squeeze out any excess.

Wear gloves with this stuff because it will turn your hands black for days. Clean up with mineral spirits before it cures and you should be in good shape.
