Thread: Hoping to install the RUX-C701 on my dash...need help

Hey everyone-

Well I am finally going to get the PXA-H701 and RUX-C701 combo, but I need help with the install of the controller. I was hoping to make a retractable storage box on top of my dash that can hide the controller when not in use and can open up when being used. Keep in mind that the controller is only about an inch thick. Here is a sketch of what I am hoping it will come out like. It won't be boxy like the sketch. I am hoping for something more sleek that blends with the dash. I was looking into linear actuators to help lift and lower it, but I am not too familiar with them. Anyone have any ideas? I attached a pic of where I am hoping to install it. Thanks.
