    Replacement Dash Panels?

Does anyone know anyplace that carries replacement dash panel pieces for a 2001 xterra(or for any vehicle). I'm not willing to buy the overpriced crap from the dealer when i'm just going to be hacking it up and bondoing(is that a word?) it anyways.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated
    Thanks

    Try a junk yard.
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
    How about the Wiki?

Depending on where you are, junkyards -- they call themselves automotive recycling centers -- frequently are on a computerized network of yards. For some parts, a call to one will tell what's available across an area, even statewide. That also means they can get parts in on the "runner" truck from all over, so you don't have to drive to find the parts if you can wait a day or two for delivery. In some cases, you can even choose a color. But that connectedness means prices level out some, too. It still pays to shop around.

And yes, bondoing is a word, at least here on MP3Car.

You give your location as "nunya". Is that as in "nunya bidness"?

also, checking xterra enthusiast forums might yield vehicles being parted out after roll overs or other accidents. ebay is also your friend.

Thanks for all the feedback, and to rdholtz thank you for your service. I had a feeling that there weren't any aftermarket manufacturers that i could get them from, but i had to ask. Thanks again

You may be able to find it new at an official manufacturer garage (or have them order it). They normally carry reserve parts. It's a matter of luck I guess.

I know I just googled for "honda oem dash" and within the hour I got a cheap online retailer. Sent one to me to hack up. I checked ebay and the prices + shipping for a used one were similar to the new factory plastic wrapped one.

So check ebay, and just do some googling. Also if you know your vehicle's generation, you can search ebay with "(01,2001,02,2002,03,2003,04,2004)" type searches and get better results.
