very nice so far. I see your following my advice. Exchange the trim black for satin black. Trim black is for the outside of the car and it is probably going to be to glossy/tacky. Satin black has like a light shimmer. It is what I use on all my products.

yea i read that you use satin black. saw some others using trim black... anyway, which satin black?

I have the exact same truck as you, Im gonna subscribe to this and pretty much use yours as my reference, I havent seen someone do a truckputer in our year truck or newer, that didnt have a flip out head unit. Looks great so far, Please be very detailed. haha so far bro your doing great!

heyy well i know its sposed to be a worklog... but im actually already done.

at least with the computer. i took lots of pictures (youre welcome) and am almost done wiring up my new amps and speakers. my neon lights are also all done being wired. im just waiting on a set of speakers, 15 ft of speaker wire, and a battery terminal cuz i ran outta space on my positive battery post cuz i wired so much crap onto it. pictures to come soon.

thats all the pictures i got. at least the good ones. im still installing my amp(s) and speakers but am not really taking pictures of that. if anyone wants me to, I am installing two 1000w amps (one for sub and one for speakers) behind my backseat. running all power cables down the passengers side and audio cables down the drivers side. also i have installed LEDs in all the air vents and red neon lights in the footwells. also there are two blue neon lights in my computer bay.

Im at work, and pictures wont show. Im interested in seeing how you did your light set up to, also how did you control your lights?

Last thing, how is the sunlight readability(might not be a real word) on the screen from where you mounted it?

pictures should work.... they work fine for me. as far as how my light set up goes, i just hooked up all my neon lights and LEDs to the switch to the left of the USB port on that panel i made. on/off switch from radioshack.

as far as actually how i did the light set up, just run wires every where you want lights. the air vents pop right off and i drilled holes into the tubing to run wires through. i order all my lights off of a website called Oznium. The customer service there is amazing since it is run by a few people out of california (i think) and they will always get back to you on any problems/issues/questions you may have. cant recommend them enough. best of all, they have great prices and shipping is cheap no matter what you order ($4.20 shipping on every order.)

finally. sunlight read-ability. when the sun is on the monitor its not that easy to read. just like any other car. however, i have that thing recessed so damn far in that theres nearly never any sun on it. ive never had a problem with it at all not being readable. if there is, it is usually a minor issue like a small corner of the screen not being readable.

Fantastic fab, but those switches kill me. You couldn't find something that matched a little better?

I've used Oznium, too and recommend. They do have great customer service.

i actually really like the switches... i have a lot of chrome on the interior of the car and they kind match that look. plus they need a small hole to be drilled and that was nice as i didnt wanna crack that panel piece. IMHO the switches look nice with the rest of the car. ill be takin more pictures later when everything is *finished*. finished is such a relative term isnt it....
