Car looks great! Always been a fan of the TSX's, I know you are probably paying an arm and a leg for the Mugen kit
OLD! needs to be updated! Will do soon!
Hey guys just making this short to show you what i am doing to my car,
I decided to put a carcomputer for music and gps like many of us on here..
I molded the mount for the bottom part of my dash, it came out ok, its my first time molding anything. I used Epoxy Stick. Someone on TSXclub.com told me about it and so I followed his DIY.
and this is my car, (Mugen front grill/lip went on last week)
I still need to order the rest of the mugen lip..

looks very clean. Nice looking car too, they are one of the few that I wouldn't mind owning.
Do you have any before pics of the dash? Looking forward to seeing the screen mounted and the dash back together.

Yeah the mugen lip/grill was expensive haha, trying to recuperate and eventually buy the rest of the kit.
Stock (old picture from a while ago)
What I plan it to look like, I have a different screen and mine will also have the mute button for my passport 9500i
(the car shown belongs to a member on TsxClub.com - i64X)
I still need to solder my laptop to get a power switch on my dash.. haha
thats a very nice install, clean and simple and just right. You copy that and you will be golden, should be pretty easy to use too, just slide your hand from the shifter to the screen and back. Actually looking back at your bezel and that install yours should be a bit nicer. Your bezel is all one piece and will look very clean down there. Starting to make me wish I had a nice little cubby like that to put my screen in.
I hear ya on the expensive and recuperating part. Thats where I am at now after getting a lift and wheels/tires on my truck, now gotta recuperate that and save for the next steps. Your car looks good though and very clean.

its in now, looks awesome! now i just need my nav program to come in.
there are still some imperfections but nothing ill get away with sanding, ill need to get filler.. if iwant it perfect ill send the mold off to Nexson, but for now it looks good and im proud of what i accomplished.
I'll get pics soon, im trying to get road runner working with different stuff. i barely know how to use it haha. Also need to optimize the pc, and make my remote button but i just dont know how to solder,
Nice, trucks around here all they do is lower them, I'm like you if i had a truck id raise that **** and put huge wheels on it haha. Its fun when trucks that are lowered try to out turn melol
Sweet, can't wait to see some pics of it installed and running. Should look good for sure.
That is one of the biggest deals for me is the satisfaction of doing it yourself and being proud of what you crafter with your own hands.
Road runner is good, and it certainly takes a bit of getting used to on how it operates and such. Many of the buttons ya just gotta push and see what they do lol. Sounds like your a few steps ahead of me, I got most of the stuff optimized and some fiddling around with RR but I still need to do the GPS and tie up some other software loose ends but I don't have my screen installed yet.
Yea I am definitely enjoying it being lifted, its not a huge lift but it seperates it from the crowd and for me is great to drive.
Haha, you must make those lowered trucks looked stupid awfully fast when they try to out turn you.

This is so awesome. I'm glad to see someone got some use out of my little write-up.
I sold that setup and made one with a Lilliput touch screen and a custom built carputer in a small case with a 1.6Ghz Atom board now. It works better than the laptop and the Space Navigator.
There's a clip of it at about 2:00 in this video:

Good luck with the rest of the carputer! That epoxy stick can be fun to work with!
I'm going to update this soon, sorry for the huge delay, hard to keep with the like 5 forums and school/work/GF lol.
Just replaced Acer Aspire One Netbook with the Asus EEEPC 1000HE. I need to post pictures of the finished product/ I Will once I get a way to fit the Asus netbook in the glove box, it is to big with all the cables....
Car has a few new mods too, Contributions from my girlfriend, She bought me Mugen Window Visors for Christmas, and 3000k 35 watt HID Fog lamps. Other then that I've just been saving up for repaint on damaged body panels/ rest of Mugen lipkit, and spending a **** load of money on my Salt Water Reef Tank.
