    Smile Trim Bezel Fabrication for Creaseguard, by Nexson 56k Wanring

    Hey Guys

    Coming to you with a small project, yet still very rewarding. The member from mp3car married the Double Din kit with the Xenarc bezel together, then asked me to finish it up. The finish on this one is very different from any other finish I have done before. It is a non textured finish (as per request), rather it is a very very OEMish finish with smooth black satin black paint, from SEM of course. It was my first time not using the Satin Black & SEM Texture combo and I am very pleased with the results!

    Enjoy =)

    PS. Any dampness you see in the final pictures is from my cleaning solution after final wetsand

    Thanks! Patience! I took my time on this one, turned the radio off, just sat down and sanded into the night, very calming/peaceful in a way.

    Ah, yes -- the Zen bezel . . .

    If just enough is really good, then too much ought to be perfect.

    I should get the car back from the installer next Sunday. I will swap out the Xenarc that is in there now for this bezel and transreflective Xenarc. I decided that I just didn't have the time to try to install myself so I took it to someone that could. Sound system installed as well, I guided him on the computer install. Was over at the shop a couple weeks ago and everything fired up. Now I get to read read read and search search search about Front ends and adding in all the goodies...not to mention tuning the sound system.

    Thanks Brian, great job.

    I got the bezel this weekend and just haven't had time to post yet. All I can say is the work is fantastic. The contours are spot on, the lines flow just as you would expect and the finish I believe is spot on to what we were after. I'll know more when I get it in the car this weekend, but I'm really excited and pleased how this turned out. It was, without question, the best money I've spent so far.

    I'm currently fitting the display into the back side and securring everything in place. I needed to replace the IR sensor as I had already put it in place prior to the work...which I knew would be a mistake. No biggie though, as I was not oringinally going to do this but thought it would look much nicer...and it does.

    Thanks Brian, really great work.
