I´m a member of this forum for about a year, but this is my first post.
Some time ago I decided to start my first carpc project.
My car is a 2001 european Chrysler Neon.
As for the hardware, I have chosen a LILLIPUT GL-701 7" TOUCH SCREEN IN-DASH LCD MONITOR and a Lilliput Single Din Car PC BlaXtream TC-1000.
Since the original Neon radio hole is not DIN sized, I also bought a Metra kit bezel (www.metraonline.com) to adapt the 1 DIN IN-DASH Monitor to my car´s dashboard hole.
The metra kit part number I bought is the 99-6505.
Until now, everything seems pretty easy to assemble, but then, I found one big problem:
When the screen came out of the dashboard, and flips up, it hits the dash air knobs, leaving the screen with an angle that is far from vertical, and which doesn´t allow me to see anything.
Even with the air knobs removed, the screen hits the bezel before it reaches a vertical position.
Has anyone here ever had this same problem with IN-DASH screens?
Are there any ideias or products to solve this?
I´ll apretiate any help.
