No Problem and if you feel that duraglass is hardening to fast, just to 3/4 across or 1/2 way

As for a starter guide, I do not really have one. Rather I have many threads on this very section in which they pretty much spell out the how the process should work. What I would do if I were you, is to find a cheap panel on your car that you can possibly get a duplicate of. Then from there I would try and mold in whatever it is your choose, be it a gauge or tv. This way you can get a good start and it is purely for you only, so there is no burden.

If you get this going, then you can defintely use me as a guide for any questions. You can get a hold of me through AIM, in which my username is Exus28.

Also, I would try and visit the fiberglassforums.com. Over there we have many different threads that display different work and techniques.

    Hope this helps!

This is a good question, and after time you sort of just learn it. Mixing up hardener with body filler is just sort of how you want to work it. For instance, if you want to work it fast then you would had alot more. My best advice would be to get your duraglass on your mixing pad. Once it is on your mixing pad, it will sort of resemble a circle or whatever shape it is when it hits the pad, we will refer to the shape as a "blop". I would take the hardener and run it from one side of the duraglass "blop" to the other side. It will pretty much be one white line across the "blop".

I am assuming the hardener cream is white

Does this help? I hope I described it well enough.
Hey Nexson, thanks for the advice! I feel that should get me started... I can't agree with you more, trial and error is the way I've learnt 90% of all I know today! About the forum I was referring to, I can't seem to find it now, but if I do stumble across it, for sure I will point you there

Once again, I do appreciate your taking the time to point me in the right direction!

    Cheers mate!

Spandex will work, but I prefer fleece, as it absorbs more resin

I've just sent you an email praising your work. But I have a question, what did you use to texture the Lilliput's plastic surround? That is your most flawless work yet.

Lastly, can you give details on your compressor and gun combo (namely the compressor CFM @ x PSI, and so fourth).

Thanks for sharing your work. I have a brand new lifted truck I've built and beat to hell and back and I'd like to paint it myself.

    Cheers

Hey, sorry, I have and still am out of town! I responded to all my emails, so i am sure I got back to you!

I just use SEM Texture for the bezels.

I should be getting a new compressor, it is good for my small guns, but it is a 26 gallon and is like 6.0 at 40psi. I want like a 10.0 at 40psi. Paint is diffcult, but I am getting better! Paint as in "car painting" not dash.

US Composites has the resin B440. Funny you ask, I just got a gallon in yesterday!

Fleece is the material, you can get it at wal-mart
