    Where...

Well I've got a Range Rover 99 and want to put an EBY701 on it, but where?...
Here's a Pic of the Dash...

I was thinking maybe i'll get rid of the AC vent in the middle and then i'd have plenty of room to play with...

    sorta like this:

Any help with that? any other ideas?

I'm a newbie in fabricating stuff by the way

    thanks

Got one coming, I'm waiting for it to arrive...

Anyways I think i'm conveinced about getting rid of those AC Vents in the middle... I dont really want to mess with the AC controllers since Range Rovers can be a B**** if you mess with it's electronics, they are soo full of sensors... and i'm not really concerned about glare in that spot because i'll tint all the windows dark black next week (yup, that includes the windshield) ... i'll post some pics of those vents when they are off so you can see it better and give me a hand with my fabrication...

    keep the ideas coming...

It looks really slanted there though. That means you will have a huge hump to make the screen look ok. Lot of fab work.

Be careful there. I'd like to have the tinted-all-around effect; my Scion xB has the front door windows tinted to match the factory tint on the rest of the car. But the tint drastically chops night vision, and my windshield is not tinted specifically for that reason. Night vision out through the tinted side windows is very significantly reduced. Driving at night with a windshield tinted that dark would be pretty exciting in a not-so-good way.

Look at the effect of the tinted covers you see over headlights: the light transmission through them is reduced by 30% or more.

What to do? When I park the car, I have a foil-faced panel I unfold across the windshield. It means you simply can't see into the car. The tinted windows handle the rest of the security. It's a little more hassle, but I don't lose the ability to see at night.

If just enough is really good, then too much ought to be perfect.

See your not being creative. You are limiting yourself to thinking that you can only put the screen in a empty place. Take out the single din radio, take out that clock and everything on the side of it, and you now have a double din space. Infact if you use all that space that I mentioned, you can even go with a bigger screen.

If your going to add a screen to a rover, I would make it look as OEM as possible, if you put the screen at the top like you have in you picture, then it will look out of place and in my opinion destroy the look of the rover interior.

PS: you wont have to relocate your AC controls at all.... I think it will all fit nicely.
