It would be good to provide more information: what kind of car, what kind of iPod, where you want the dock, and -- most important -- what your research has taught you so far. We'd like to know that you did some background use of and before you asked here.

The car is a 72 challenger and i have an ipod video 60g. I want to put the dock in the center console right above the shifter. I searched google and all i came up with ones that fit in the cup holders and that attach to the window, But i want it incorporated into the consol. I have searched the forum and found some ways that i like but it didnt say what they used and how they made it.

Okay, that helps. Now, because very few of us have any idea what the console of a classic Challenger looks like, it would be a good idea to include some pictures. Pix get the juices flowing in our creative brains, and you might get some terrific replies. Take pix with the iPod in various areas so we can see where it would fit in the console, or at least give approximate dimensions of the area, plus your iPod's dimensions. Grab pix of the examples you liked, and include them with your comments.

It's best if you treat us like idiots and provide all sorts of information that's obvious to you. Here are some examples: Do you want the iPod concealed when it's in the console, or partially exposed? If it will be exposed, do you want it to stand up, lay flat, or somewhere in between, and do you want it aligned with the console, or angled to face the driver? What's the console made of? What materials are you comfortable using? What's your fabricating skillset? Do you plan to make this yourself, or are you going to look for a fabricator?

Show how much thought you've put into this; tell about your installation ideas thus far. We don't want to do all the work for you, but a lot of us like to chime in and help with the imagineering.

Maybe this would be a part of new installation?

I have this piece in my center console under armrest, and it's connected to head unit.
BTW, don't put it without extra mounting/sticking, cause it flies like a bee without one.
