I would like this type of concealed display. What does it take and would you be willing to do it for a price? PM me if you would.

I can do the install and soldering and assembly part, just need someone to do the glass part.

I've ruined a lot of them figuring out how they open - you can usually find a replacement on ebay unless it's a brand new model car. I used the factory mirror that came in the car, just replaced the glass. I can source the glass for you but need a template to have it fabricated. The glass is cut out of a $500 piece of commercial glass and a special coating has to be applied to the back of the mirror around the display. Also in order for the display to illuminate properly through the glass and in order to make sure you don't inadvertantly mess up something in the factory mirror there's usually a lot of soldering and desoldering tiny circuits. Unfortunately this is not a very simple mod, let me know what kind of car you own and I'll be happy to try to help if I can.
So if I can get you the glass template and where the display will isntall, you can have one of these made for me?

    Thanks

This, however, is the ultimate concealed display. I just hope it sees the light of day in my car.

I've done a few mirrors with parking sensors, don't really need radar detectors in the UK... I don't think the Police can use them over here because they're not efficient enough, think we just have laser guns instead, but devices to jam them is illegal (some people get around this with some sort of front parking sensor from memory)... Could be wrong!

Anyway I just used mirrored tint film on bare glass, any light behind the glass will shine through like the pic of the M6 mirror on this thread, or if you really want this 'etched' look then you can still use film but get the supplier to cut it however you want.

Also if you're putting something like this in your car, wouldn't you want it hidden? I know in the EU you'll get fined for having such a device regardless of your speed!
